I won't forgive her the same way I won't forgive Glenn Beck. Sorry, you hammered upon her for the last year and a half and now its obvious that one candidate shouldn't have ever been near it?

But at the same time I'll take the $2 million she's putting up to start the process (Its $1.1m in one state, $.5m in two others) and watch with zero expectation that the results will change. If anything this helps question the process which will help to further delegitimize the electoral college.

In all honesty this flailing will do nothing to change the opinion of elected republican officials and those that support them so pffffbbbbbttt. All this really enables is an audit of those states without Clinton looking like an ass after the second debate. (Or was it the third?)

Ultimate end to 2016 troll year. To find out Russia tampered with election and Jill Stein gets Clinton the presidency through her efforts. Perfect ending.

Right now my ending to 2016 is that a E-5 ET (Nuke) friend didn't advance to E-6. Our rate is notorious for having a >50% chance to get advanced to E-6 on the surface side and somehow the world seemed fit to make that a constant out of all the wild endings we've had this year. (He had two EP evals and an MP. Passed the test. More PNA points that he honestly should know what to do with. But apparently he just can't make it.)

Democrats donating $2.5m to Jill Stein shows just how fucking dumb and gullible they are.

God that money could be put to such better use.

Could put that into the Louisiana Senate runoff and try to maintain 49 seats.

Dems could put all the money they want into that race, they're not winning it without better messaging than "maybe we can work with Trump."

I mean shit, they needed a combo of Jindal level budget fuckup + a dude in Vitter who was incredibly susceptible to family values messaging in order to get a Dem elected governor there.

more saliently, Nate Silver made probably the wisest prognostication i've yet seen regarding a Trump presidency and that is given the man's insecurities, his inexhaustible need for validation and the pathological discomfort that afflicts him when faced with criticism, he will be tied to his approval rating like white to rice. as such i imagine many of the more unpopular aspects of his platform (such as prosecuting Clinton or doing away with Obamacare's preexisting conditions statutes) are dead on arrival, and that the most influential members of his administration will be those who can garner him the public's adoration.

The national polls were good but the state polls were off, and that's a problem given the battlefield is won on the states.

Were the state polls "off" or did the undecideds all break for Trump at the end?

A poll is more than just "what is the margin among the decided voters between the top two candidates".

Hillary nailed her simple polling average in Wisconsin, off by like 0.2% only.

exit polling does indeed suggest Trump won the majority of undecideds on the day of. as stated aggregated polling is the single most best good indicator we have with which to base predictions, but it is simply a snapshot in time. and there was a massive amount of uncertainty in these snapshots given the abnormally high number of undecideds that would have to go one way or the other when the day came.

moreover state polling was generally within the margin of error, it was a tight race that was trending away from Hillary leading to the election. in the instances it wasn't the data was weak, sometimes laughably so. Wisconsin saw a polling miss by 7.5% but the last national pollster to conduct a poll in the state did so on 11/1 - 11/2. the last one given an A rating by 538 conducted theirs 10/26-10/31. there was a large amount of missed movement in Wisconsin simply because no one was taking polls in the week leading up to the election. had they been i imagine they would have seen trendlines of what actually happened, Hillary staying steady but Johnson's support collapsing and Donald gobbling up undecideds.

Lol, it's almost like people who wants something done are doing something to achieve that. It's amazing how that's dumb and not the ones sitting on their hands complaining about people being proactive.

It's almost like the people that were most complacent of a Hillary win are the ones most vocal about anyone contesting her loss. I think it's funny tbh

What, you mean to tell me people on BG weren't complacent? And that the majority of BG won't tell you to stop trying to overturn the 2week old election?

Like, even in the face of the gross negligence and incompetence that was the DNC and the Hillary campaign (and what it says about those entities that they did not want an audit themselves), what exactly is $2.5m going to accomplish besides things that are already established? Do we really hope that there's enough voter anomalies that it can actually swing the election? That enough Russian hacking was done to win states that Trump normally doesn't win? If that's the case, I have a set of magic crystals to sell you.

    A fool and his money.

That money is going to try and establish the credibility one way or the other of the vote counts in the mentioned states. All those questions your asking may very well be answered by actually doing something rather then complaining about how other people spend their money.

    Edit: Added a word
