Exactly as specious as the Parkinsons diagnoses.
I mean, who said we'd let you up here in the first place? Our maple syrup reserves are precious and you reap what you sow and etc etc. What Canadian would welcome you up here?
Oh wait, our awesome, healthy, young Prime Minister said you're cool.
He just gets better and better, huh?
Sounds like y'all are getting nervous, talking about what if's. I feel bad for Clinton, really. I'm sure she feels robbed of what should have been hers in 2008, now she is not healthy enough to win. Obama is still in great shape I assume.
Don't worry Egon, Michelle will be back in 2024.
I was gonna say, don't worry Egon, Michelle is still around. She will be back even before 2024...she will be back in 2020 to tell us the apocalypse is happening ONCE again.
Trump just endorsed mandatory six week maternity leave.
This is pretty terrible. Even though it sounds amazing on the surface, this would actually increase the wage gap (if it actually existed). When you force businesses to do things they wouldn't normally do, you actually hurt those you intend to help.
I'll put a link to a video that explains why equal pay for equal work (and inherently mandatory paid maternity leave) is bad for women.

Where did you pull that one from?
We need Swamp and Leif back to complete the trifecta.
It's not like paternity leaves are a thing too right?
Head doing good work today.
That could start discrimination towards married people in general. Single men are far less likely to need it.
The point is that mandating doesn't work.
Btw, the company I work for gives 6-8 weeks of maternity leave, and 1 week of paternity leave. It's awesome and it helps to keep the employees here. By mandating, you take away their ability to market that perk.

He's actually touched on why Unions fought against universal health care all the way back when Teddy Roosevelt tried to put it in place. If they can't argue that they'll get the best health coverage out of an employer, people have less incentive to join the Union. Good thing Reagan destroyed them back in the 80s or we never would've gotten to the ACA, right?
