I don't consider 2 1/2 people a real race. Not when 1 1/2 candidates got nearly 0 airtime until about 1/2 way through. Bernie wasn't even a Democrat until 2015/16?

Bernie didn't lose because the media or because Deborah Wasserman-Shultz and the DNC machine killed his campaign. He lost because he couldn't poll well with minorities and he had an extreme platform and agenda.

Polling data history exists. Why should the media have covered Bernie more in 2015 when he wasn't breaking 30%?

30% would have been great if he were running in the GOP primary with 8 other people. Hell, he would have probably been lead story. But when there's two candidates and you're down 20-25 points nationally, no one particularly cares.

At first I was surprised by all these DNC leaks by wikileaks, like, why not hack the RNC and throw shade on trump and them as well? Then I realized, it's because it doesn't matter how much bad shit the RNC does, Trump supporters will stick fingers in their ears and shut their eyes and ignore it.

Which seems to be what a lot of people are doing with these DNC leaks also, "It's been happening for years so why bother fixing it?" Seems to be the general response, is there honestly NO way to collectively abstain from EITHER of these candidates? Like, force both parties to repick both candidates?

Trump ran GOP. Blacks aren't registered republicans. Hispanics aren't registered republicans. Old white men are registered republicans. Those are who vote in the primary. Trump's minority problem was a minority bonus in the primary.

Party committees are independent organizations not constrained to a democratic process. They self govern. They can favor whoever they want (yes, I know by-laws of DNC/RNC self governance indicate a democratic process). The DNC just did it in secret, behind emails. So the optics look terrible. The RNC openly campaigned against Trump. No one asked Preibus to step down.

My point is that there was 0 coverage of either O'Malley or Sanders. Sanders didn't get any even anywhere near as much as he probably should have even after he become more "popular".
