This week ESPN College Game Day will travel to Clemson, SC as #5 Clemson hosts #3 Louisville in a game that will likely determine the ACC Atlantic Champion and eventual ACC Champion, and possible playoff contender. The game is set for 8pm on ABC.

    Other notable games this week--
    Thursday, 9/29
Connecticut at #6 Houston, 8pm on ESPN

    Friday, 9/30
#7 Stanford at #10 Washington, 9pm on ESPN

    Saturday, 10/1
Notre Dame vs. Syracuse at Met Life Stadium, 12pm on ESPN
#22 Texas at Oklahoma State, 12pm on ABC
RUTGERS at #2 Ohio State, 12pm on ??? It's not listed so I'm guessing PPV or RSN only.
#11 Tennessee at #25 Georgia, 3:30pm on CBS
North Carolina at #12 Florida State, 3:30pm on ESPN
#8 Wisconsin at #4 Michigan, 3:30pm on ABC
#9 Texas A&M at South Carolina, 4:00pm on SEC Network
Oklahoma at #21 TCU, 5pm on FOX
#18 Utah at California, 6pm on Pac 12 Network
Kentucky at #1 Alabama, 7pm on ESPN

A very top heavy slate this week in Clemson/Louisville and BADGA/Michigan, but not much else. We can all band together to support RUTGERS in their attempt to dethrone Ohio State.

It would've happened last year if not for his huge buyout and how that would look with the school in a bad economic state. Jimbo Fisher was standing by to take the job.

Les was never going to survive anything approaching a down year this year with all of the talent we had returning.

We're in a better situation now than at any time during the past few years with Les finally excised. I recommend reading the articles about the firing as the stats of our offensive struggles are staggering. 3rd worst passing offense of any Power 5 school over the last 3 years, ahead of only Boston College and Georgia Tech.

Yeah I know all about LSU's struggles. Hell, Auburn's offense, and player growth in general has been pretty garbage all in all too. I'm on my last legs with Gus, but we'll see.

Disagree with firing him midseason tho.

I just don't think it's good for morale or a good look in general to fire any coach midseason like that. Looks incredibly reactionary.

I don't think you can call it reactionary when it almost happened during last season. He was basically given one last chance to wake his stubborn ass up and get with the times but as always he doubled down with his outdated offensive philosophy. It took 4 games to become clear it wasn't working, so he was let go. It would have been MUCH worse to keep him as a lame duck coaches as we keep losing games. No recruit is going to listen to his pitch when they know his ass is gone.

As for morale, I can't imagine it being much lower than it already was after the terrible start to the season.

Here is your interesting college football factoid I am stealing from some random dude's Twitter. Ten years ago, there were 15 active head coaches who had won the national championship at the FBS level. Today, there are only four--Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Jimbo Fisher, and Bob Stoops.
