I don't think any games that have any level of competitive function (even Bloodborne) would be allowed to run at higher frame rates on the Pro, creates an unfair advantage.

This was a pretty pointless livestream event. Too much focus on the "4k" aspect when you can't really show the difference between that and 1080p footage when your stream just downrezes back to 1080p anyways. Needs more side-by-side stills to point out differences; the stream basically made it seem like "hey, watch these games run at a lower framerate!". Plus there's an extremely small portion of the audience who even owns or will own 4k TVs within the next 2 years. They should've shifted more of the attention to the differences you get on 1080p displays; increased fidelity and framerate, etc. I think that's probably what more of the consumer base is interested in anyways.
??? Still, not supporting Ultra 4K seems like a poor decision for those who don't stream stuff lol
I'm pretty curious about this as well. Why would it be able to run a 4K game but not a normal 4K Blu ray, would it be something that can be changed with a firmware upgrade later?
Why the fuck would Sony not even support their own format (4k Blu-ray) when Microsoft does?
Looking at the official caps of the Pro, where the fuck were the power/eject buttons placed?

For all the hype this was getting the Pro is incredibly disappointing. The ball is definitely in Microsoft's court if they can actually put out a "real" 4k console with the Scorpio.
Spoiler: show
I think that's actually from Amazon, if not, I'll just cancel it later. lol
It just popped up saying there was 1 new for $399.99 so I bought without hesitation.
edit: double-checked and it's from Amazon, so whee.
It's Prime eligible, so it seems official.

Or those whose internet connections already can't handle 1080p, or live on limited bandwidth connections. I want my crisp 4K CGI films without any of the streaming compression.
And looking like touch sensors yet again. When will Sony learn?
Least the two USB ports on the front aren't a mile apart like the Slim. The design on the Pro looks dumb in general to me though, and makes me worry about dust collecting between the stacks in this old house of mine if I were to pick one up. Hopefully the noise levels won't be as bad as launch PS4s were.
Certainly going to have to wait for some real world comparisons, and would have to see what used ps4 prices go down to.
