Bleh went and cleaned up friend list, pruned out any one over 30 days, took forever to do.
The devs really need to do some qol fixes to the ui design because removing more than 1 people is such a pain in ass.

Switched friend unit to Lann/Reynn for Shiva farming, let me know if Quistis is preferred instead.

Edit: After reading the reddit carry strat thread, I'll switch back to Quistis since apparently you can delay and kill Shiva before splitting. I'll switch back (again) to the twins if needed.

Snagged Serah EX with 18 tickets and 5k gems. I've now entered artfiact hell, and it doesn't look pretty so far. Neither does my gil -_-

From what I've seen you can't block her splitting, but you can delay turn the twins to hell so at minium 1 of diamond dusts never happen.

Yep I think she auto splits at some % of HP whether it's her turn or not.

Quistis is still always my go-to support for both Ifrit and Shiva, turn delay is just too useful and she does a lot of damage right out the gate as well.

Grats to those who got Serah's EX so far, it will take you all the way to CHAOS and beyond if you got good arts. So far I spent about 80 tickets and nada, guess I better get farming those boards. And whatever gems I don't need to use on Vayne's banner I can spend on Serah.

Ugh to cursed artifacts, spent like 4hrs and best ive managed to get Sarah up to is 6* debuff attack boost all, 4* charged moonlight and a 2* brv moonlight.

Been holding off on shiva farm to do this and I don't know if want to spend any more time trying for that 3rd perfect artifact.

I'm still working on Vivi ATM, have 2x ATK SPD 2* passives and 1x ATK108/MBRV330.

Holding off on farming Sarah until Vayne arrives, will be alot easier to farm her by soloing co-op.

Also finally got her EX from tickets.

Don't hold off on Shiva on account of Serah's arts, she doesn't need any of them to do her job as far as Shiva is concerned.

I also hate farming these. I have both Serah and Vivi built and I feel it is my sacred duty to get them their arts but damn. Probably gonna have to settle for decent instead of perfect.

Cloud is apparently the better support for Shiva.
i did some testing after I found out and Cloud is much more consistent when it comes to getting both shiva killed before they diamond dust.

Immediately swap in cloud on your trash character.
Meteorain if your team has enough leeway to get him the Mako buff.
Spam finishing touch afterwards and remember to summon chocobo/Sylph.
Your worst runs are going to be when he has to resort to using cross slash to finish them off before diamond dust.

I also may have a gambling problem. Dumped the 140ish tickets I was going to use on vayne/Zack/Fran trying to get an ex and some powerstones. Then did some 5k pulls out of annoyance since my consolation prize of FINALLY having Seifer weapons didn't include the 15 being MLB. Then I figured I was in too deep, said fuck it and went straight to the pity line.

Now that my 150k stash reserved for Aphmau and Cinque got partially drained, I'm in the middle of doing all the hard mode fights I usually procrastinate on for gems.
At least it gave me motivation to actually do summon board farming and I now have 21ish powerstones ready for the next time I get lucky with tickets. Hopefully I don't get surprised before i get the remainder like how Thancred came early when Lion's ex comes out or everyone with Beatrix.

I missed both Cinque and Lion's EX despite pulling pretty hard for them in JP so I hope I can remedy that in GL. Neither of them are necessary by any means but both are fun as hell.

Got Serah's EX after 100 tickets - whew - so I'm in the clear for dumping some gems/tix on Rydia's and maybe even Alisaie's EX. I do fear for my power stone stash however - the chapter banner and Serah depleted it considerably and I can only imagine what Vayne and P.ecil will do to it.

About 8 months ago, I decided to throw some tickets at Zack in hopes of Layle/Laguna 35, ended up getting Zack's 35 instead.

Fast forward to last night and decided to throw tickets until first gold since I have no impulse control, kinda hoping to MLB Laguna 35, first gold was Zack's EX! First time I've ever had that happen. Ashelia/Vayne/Rydia/Alisaie are SO going to punish me for this...

I'm not planning on pulling for Zack - my JP experience has told me that I use him until WoL gets 70 and then he gets entirely replaced. Gonna wait for the Ignis chapter banner later to get Zack, during which he turns the tables on WoL and becomes the strongest character in the game or something. I am a little bit worried about not having a useable tank for the Abyss thing coming out though so I may eventually cave and pull for him anyway if I find myself struggling.

Dumped 70 tickets on Zack for fun. No ex, but went far better than serah did. Not nearly the amount of dupes as expected, managed to mlb Zack 15 and a few lb on the 35, another LB on my layle, and several misc powerstones.
Almost all of my characters are now max crystal level and the only reason they all aren't is because I'm too lazy to farm spare crystals for upcoming characters.

I'm roughly no where near done with Shiva and I hate the grind. Maybe 20 characters done with treasure and 7 maxed and not really motivated to do more.

Grats! Also 100% with you on Shiva, I've been nonstop grinding and still have 12ish more to master and 60ish more to farm treasures for, it's WAY more mentally draining then Ifrit.
