I'm digging the heretic quests too. I just started them today and the difficulty feels just right. They're a challenge but achievable.

Can't make a dent in getting past 23k for final heretic, seems impossible to get above 23k unless you have Light/Potato/Vanille 35

Man, it's weird going from WoL/Rem/Sabin slogging through battles to basically Lightning and Papalymo basically one-shotting non-bosses. Will start poking Ch6 hard later, but I only really expect certain boss stages to be a problem on no break reqs.

Cleared the lv70 heretic in 77 rounds with 35k points. Vanille was a total game changer, even if some rounds(just the turtle actually) needed some resets.

Deprotect was significant on its own, a d being able to dispel the turtle was so nice. I got to the mech on round 43 I think, and had to summon Ifrit at the very end to avoid the big laser attack. Had 4 turns left on summon going into the berserker armor and by manipulating his turns with dispel, he was the easiest of the 4.

Am I wrong to presume one should have MLB things to take on 70+ things? Managed to do the event 50 this time around, but I ran into the issue of being out of abilities before I actually killed the boss, so it got kinda dicey.

No, you can definitely do 70 without MLB. I know you can do 90 as well, but having MLB will obviously make things much easier.

Took a few attempts, but got 32745 on Heretic 70 with 83 turns. Lightning 35 makes a huge difference. Ended up saving friend Lightning for Mech so I could barely blitz him down and used summon on Giant and made him go into dispel cycle and avoided HP DMG.

Just MLBd my Papalymo only to discover that with +200 atk from artifacts he can't kill the round 3 cactuars in 1 shot without a high damage roll. Seems to get it 20% of the time. orz. That's with using Umbral Ice on the mover round too

Cleared 70 with 33k finally! Lightning MLB15/2LB35 (5* armor 1LB), Papalymo MLB15/0LB35 (5* armor 2LB) and Hope 0LB 15 (MLB 4* armor) cleared in 79 turns. Used a Lightning friend on the Behemoth to get rid of it in 17 turns and summoned Ifrit to dodge Wave cannon. Still went into the final boss with 4 summon turns though and that went down very fast.

Congrats Aikar. The hardest part imo was not losing too many turns on round 1 and 2.

Fuck turtle co-ops. It's either dead in 3 summons, or lives with a sliver of health and shits all over everyone

Challenge successful, rewards will be sent to all players next week/end of the month. Locke stickers coming at the end of the month as well, lvl 60 awakenings by the end of the year, costumes in August (if they're like JP you'll have to spend a lot of money). Also more events like Kefka's will happen.

Edit And I missed the part where they said they're planning to catch up to JP which is why we'll get stuff like the awakenings much earlier. I wonder if they'll speed up events as well.

I procrastinated too long and didn't end up completing the 32k score for the final heretic quest so RIP 500 gems.
I have an issue where I don't have enough variety of characters - I have MLB 35 Prishe (half magic), MLB 35 Terra (all magic), nearly MLB 35 Papalymo (magic), and an assortment of MLB 15s of...you guessed it...magic users. Vanille, Yuna, Shantotto, Rem (not magic but lol), King (also lol), and then an assortment of no-break physical dps who end up with like 3.2k max brv.

Using tickets to try to pull for Thancred but my next big pull is Ashe and Vaan which are...still magic, pretty much lol. I wonder what the next great physical character I should pull is.

Odin ex fight was pretty easy. Maybe it's power creep. The story aspect of it was really great. I liked how the boss would swap between all the different weapons.

For the ex, don't bother with a dispeller, he rebuffs every 25% or so.
