Lions coop is giving me FFXI flashbacks of all the shitty parties or thieves that can't do their jobs right.
People are summong when all of the mobs are aiming for me so that my abilities are useless. This other Lion in the party keeps on sneak attacking whatever mob is facing her, overwriting my powder kegs instead of getting breaks on the adds and somehow these scenarios seem to end up with me being dead most of the time.

But he's going to be good in a little while, right? I recall seeing him frequently near the top of the Altema tier list while they still had it. I don't mind pulling weapons for characters as an investment in the future, even if they get worse again after a few months. Besides, Serah also starts off not so great and eventually gets a huge buff...

He's only up there due to his EX weapon so you'll have to pull more for him.

New Heretic Quest confirmed! Bosses are Lich, Chimera, Prototype and Berserker armor (sigh, again?). Potential sinergy characters, other than the chapter 9 trio, are: Squall/Vaan/Galuf or Terra/Shantotto/Balthier.

Completed Magic and Power Rising with 107 turns at 28955 points with Terra, Lightning, and Eiko (all MLB 15/35) with friend Papalymo.

Burned down Heretic Prototype asap in wave 1, had Eiko spam her BRV battery move and burned down Iron Giant before he could HP attack after his flurry move, replaced Eiko with Papa to Astral Fire spam kill Lich, and Ifrit summoned Chimera to avoid DEF buff. Ran out of steam/moves near end unfortunately which made me go over 100 turn threshold for the 500 gems.

Do you have anyone to replace Terra? I feel she's really bad for these type of challenges because she runs out fast and wastes turns for nothing.

I like Terra in these. I'm pretty sure I used her in the last Heretic quest too. I do have her completely maxed out. Her turn waste isn't as bad as, say, Lightning or Prishe when you're trying not to take breaks on them. And Terra's base atk is extremely high, she can shave brv like no one's business with default brv attacks. I'll probably use her for this one too.

This is why I used her, she can easily fill up half her BRV with just a normal BRV attack. Plus I have 3x Trance 2* artifacts for her, so she gets up to 17k max BRV with summon on Chimera lol.

I tried MLB Tidus, but Terra ended up getting better milage by having 2400ish ATK. Barely scrapped a complete clear with Tidus at 122 turns. Honestly the dead weight on my team is Eiko at the end with Chimera. I'm sure I could hit 32k if I saved a DD friend unit for Chimera.

I cleared using LiTiko, 33k on my first try. All MLB /w friend Squall to get rid of Lich during summon. I pretty much used up all of my Smite charges on the armor, Lich died while Squall was out and then Eiko has 2 charges of Regen left for Chimera. Lightning is OP as usual, best investment so far. <3

Swapped Prishe out for a friend Vaan for the armor.
Summoned Ifrit against the Lich.

I had to reset twice. One on the armor, one on lich.

Golbez and Rinoa are the August character for JP, Ifrit Ultimate allows him to reach lvl 30 and you get to fight him directly. Also Vannile's EX is part of the event and the summon board feature is coming as well (expend points to raise stats and possibly unlock new abilities for your characters using the Ifrit board).

In a way yes but this seems to be character exclusive, you don't spend points on the summon itself but each (or maybe only some?) character gets his/her own Ifrit board.

Looks like the Summon boards include some rewards like 3 tickets, 300 gems and 5 armor tokens... per character! Which means you can get a total of 280 tickets, 27.300 gems and 455 armor tokens. It's a grind but it's permanent.

It's worth mentioning that that's just Ifrit board. It's safe to say every summon will have its own unique rewards.
