I keep trying to pull for XI characters of VIII characters I like and keep getting poop'ed on. Pulled Lullaby Rod (Yuna) today and Rune Blade (Cloud) though and I think they're good. Did manage to pull Claustrum as well on a half price pull. IDK whats good all I know is the ones with the portraits of the character on the item are "stronger" (I know the 15/25/35CP Value thing to an extent) and both Yuna's and Clouds are 35CP and the Finishing Touch buff looks awesome...

I also have Galuf 35(Defender), Blackfro 35(Spica Defenders), PirateGirlV 35(Orich Dirk), Yda 35(Hellish Claws), and Eiko35(Magic Racket)

As time goes on they will add more characters to awakening, so eventually your favorites will be added.

As far as weapons, it gonna be case by case basis. Most are good, some are awesome and some just decent. An Example, Yuna's weapons make her respective skills aoe to the party.

Noct is going to be pretty good in GL for quite a while, but only if people can pull his EX because he is bad without it. After the last round of banners I doubt that many people have gems to pull for him, so SE must really be banking on a lot of people spending money to pull for Noct. He is a poster boy so the profits for the game will probably jump this month (along with what people already spent for Cloud EX...)

I really want Noct, but my luck pulling weapons in GL is shit so I doubt I'll get his EX with the limited resources I have.

Meanwhile in JP you will be able to outright buy his EX with tokens in a few days lol

I blew everything chasing Clouds EX with no luck (might be up to around 60k~ gems). Few more gems to farm up completing events, but I'm not expecting any love from RNGesus. Feels bad.

Noctis is a safe investment, his rework in insane. However he does require his EX to function properly so that's a huge con... might as well pull now because when he comes back there will be far better EX weapons to chase (his is still good but mainly to keep his buff up, his other skills deal more damage then).

Aa much as want Noctis EX weapon , I'm just not going to spend any money to chase. I blew my luck getting Shantottos EX with a ticket and spent my gem stock failing to get Clouds.

Edit: Seven, not Sice (they look so alike! lol), also the loose translation got posted to Reddit, monthly missions are being released Dec, Yda is getting a rework at end of Dec. Also they are adding a upgrade system for EX weapons on Feb when 2nd Anniversary hits. Terra and Zack are getting costumes in Dec.

If they give Terra Trance Terra costume, they'll make a TON of money.

Some news from the stream:
-Winter Festival starting in a couple days with new sticker, login bonuses and a special solo quest.
-The new solo quest has a limit of 10 runs per day, some bosses appear and they can drop the festival item booster (like double books but they only last 15 minutes and you can only use them during the Festival) and you get tokens to exchange for the usual goodies (High Shards included!).
-Dissidia 10 year anniversary celebration! They're giving out 10k free gems over 10 days and a special free daily summon for a month where you do a free single summon each day with guaranteed 4* or higher (rates are 90% 4*, 10% 5*). These draws will feature 35 CPs.
-Upcoming character events (already mined so no surprises here): Noctis+ Alisaie for character events, Trials of Bahamut, Snow and Krile LCs.

Finished Ch. 11 HM and got my final moonshade boost for Lilisette and got decent ATK+ passives for Vaan. Bring on the prince of pain!

also are there any banners up now that would be really good for a beginner? any events I should be focusing on?
