You only "need" one copy, you can limit break weapons using power stones. EX weapons have a lot more CP so you need those equipped, limit break the others to max (and level them up to cap) to learn their passives.
EX weapons also gain additional passives with each limit break so you really want those maxed as well.

Finally cleared roses EX stage, but I had to use WoL and only able to get a 124k score. Not sure what I'm going to do to get all the score tiers.

Got max rewards on EX with Selphie, Squall (EX), Terra (EX), friend Terra, Bahamut Summon. Bahamut Summon allowed both Terras do 40k each turn, which helped alot.

You need to be more aggressive. Batteries help a lot too.

went with selphie terra and beatrix-no ex this time with friend beatrix EX. came out with a 154k score. not having beas EX hurts turn rounds a lot

Selphie, Bea-ex, MLB Terra no ex, Bahamut and a Squall friend. 210k score.

Swapped Terra out for Squall on round 2 to speed up the trash waves. Don't swap on turn one because of the sahagin physical resist.

It seems like our next awakening batch (coming in 2 days) includes: Vincent, Tifa, Faris, Sabin, Fujin and Jecht or Sazh.
Also apparently we'll be catching up in awakenings by releasing more alongside LCs and events so we'll possibly get Steiner and Shadow awakened with Aerith's LC, Zell for Garnet's and finally Cyan with Auron's.

Generally they throw gems at people a lot more then other se mobile games, you could reroll a new account tho to see if you get it

How good is Steiner’s CS60 compared to Squall’s Renzokuken?

It's pretty much the same except Steiner's is fire elemental and his battery effect depends on the Max BRV of the entire party. Meaning it really depends on the enemies you have to deal with during the waves.
