Edit: Highest I could get on EX was 183k with Beatrix (EX), Cait Sith, and Vaan with friend Vaan EX with bahamut summon. Not going to bang my head against this Wall of a fight for 3 tickets and 100 gems.

Layle is the solution honestly. Went in blind with Vincent, Cait and Beatrix and barely got 163k.

Don't have Layle 35 (chose favorites instead of Chase meta because they never made it mandatory until now). But like I said, it's just 100 gems and 3 tickets, NBD. Just hope this is the last time they make Chase meta mandatory.

Completed the ex first try with Beatrix, Vaan, Prishe. All with ex/woi/mlb. Squall friend and Bahamut summon.

I can't for the life of me get 220k on the regular fight. I keep getting 208ish.

Dumped about 40k gems and no prishe ex. 30ish tickets later I got it and a surprisingly large amount powerstones and/or off banners from banner 2 while pulling banner 1.
I'm a bit torn on if i should bother to MLB my firion EX or some misc 35s when I can work on some of my other characters atm.
No Vaan ex in sight, but my vaan is crap outside of being 60/60 anyway.
Light crystals are about to get crunched since it looks like I need them for Deuce, but my Yuri is cl55
Blues are in critical condition since I was going to try and finish tidus off, but Wakka's taking the lead and I'm really hoping I get Faris weapons 3 events from now. Hopefully getting around to Auron LC fixes that tonight.
I'm slightly short on layle CL60 but I'm guessing that Fang has that covered since I splurged everything on Prishe. Damn draws kept on shoving his 15 in my face when i want his 35
Green is doing ok and I'm merely waiting to see what my luck on certain banners is like. (Garnet vs Acce)
Once I manage to farm enough orbs I should be at 22 powerstones.

Hit the 220k score on the heretic fight by using Vaan, Prische, and Layle. Friend Setzer and Panda summon.

I hope the "Launch meta" is short. Launch is boring and I don't like Layle.

First two waves play as you normally would. I swapped Vaan out for Setzer on wave 3 for freeze joker. I summoned during p3 after the enemies first round.

Final wave I still had 1 turn on summon and Setzer in play to freeze joker the bosses. Be sure to focus them on at a time as the one left alive recovers to full at the end. Once he regens and buffs, throw out the last freeze joker and then burn him down.

Nullifying Drop kick looks awesome. As does Pyroclasm. The animations are really clutch.

Done with both EX and normal stage with full score. Used MLB Layle, Beatrix and Cait with Squall friend and Pandemonium summon. Had to reset multiple times on that damn turtle.

Waiting to MLB Layle because I can still use next event tickets on Vaan EX banner (no luck yet), so I'll probably sit on this Heretic for a while. Finally pulled a Setzer 35 so I'm really happy with that. I foresee a time not too long from now when everyone who collected every high shard will be able to fully awaken every character - I only have a few from each crystal color unawakened currently.

Gonna hoard gems until Deuce/Ace EX banner. Ace gets really good with his 70 awakening and even better with his EX+ which he gets very early in the EX+ era, so he's a good investment for anyone who is looking to the future.

Free banners in JP: Zidane EX and some 15s. I can't build him so it will sit around with my Zell EX as useless for a long time. Threw 20k gems and 60 tickets at Lilisette EX banner, got Kuja EX and Lilisette EX! Building Lili first, then gonna finish my Garland EX+. Might build Kuja after that to have a magic DPS EX+, since I don't really have resources to pull for or build Ultimecia anymore (sadface tho, she's cool). Looking forward to Lyse and Basch later!

All muh tickets on Vaan banner (and 5 on Celes)...at least I got a Setzer 35 and some Layle dupes, but no EX in sight. I feel like I'm so far behind everyone, my EX luck has been bad.
