There seems to be some issues with Hard mode this time: there's no clear rewards for it and in one of the stages the enemies have an insane amount of HP with a 60 turn requirement that is impossible to meet apparently.

Ok that stage is confirmed as bugged. Apparently when they added Arc 2 Chapter 3 in JP they reused those enemies but updated the stats to fit the powerlevel of the time. However this also messed up the chapter 1 stage and GL simply ported it over as is.
Each enemy is meant to have 75k HP but they currently have 500k.

Y'shtola's EX+ is insane, that's gonna be my pick if GL gets the same selection JP got last December.

Why? After reading her updated 70 kit and EX+, it didn't seem that special to me. Sure it starts charged so she can give the party brv right away but... so can Sherlotta with no turn count, so can Lilisette but she can also put strong debuffs up at the same time, so can Krile and she starts with her EX charged too. I'm entirely capable of overlooking important stuff in people's kit lol so what makes Y'sh so much better?

Personally of the two I'm building Lyse because I only have enough powerstones to build one character right now My JP life is rough, I've pulled Faris, Agrias, Tidus, Zell, Zidane, Kuja, Lilisette, Y'shtola and Lyse EX in the past month and I could only afford to build like two of them... I built Lilisette and Faris and I want Lyse for AoE since I don't have a good one for that yet.

Could I please pull some EXes in GL instead so I can use some of my 130 powerstones, please?

Y'shtola's EX+ allows her to have a really strong BRV Regen (around 20k each turn) up all the time which puts her in the position to spam any of her skills at will. Stone+ is very strong and delay's the enemy's turn. Her EX also charges up everyone's BRV to full (on top of healing) while regenerating one use for each ability.
Krile's regen is often wasted from what I can see because it activates on anyone's turn (including the enemy), the BRV leak is insane.

Oh and Y'shtola's EX+ also has no turn delay and no turn count on top of preventing KO for herself and adding self and party ATK+MRV invisible buffs. It's quite loaded.

Well, it already had most of that stuff (I have it maxed in GL and she's my friend unit currently). The BRV regen, lack of turn use and extra turn of HP+ is nice but the ability to survive KO is kind of wasted since if you're in a position to get KO'd you're probably doing the fight wrong anyway. I guess I'm just not quite as impressed with it considering characters who can fill party brv every turn and have abilities that don't cost turns are par for the course now. Also compared to other EX+, it didn't really add anything gamechanging.

Speaking of which, I'm fully enjoying Faris's EX+. The debuff that brv shaves an enemy during its own turn is so incredibly useful for those types of enemies that like to spend their turns maxing out their own brv, and her EX recharges pretty fast too so you can have pretty decent uptime on that debuff.

This 2x Chimera fight is kicking my ass. My Cait doesn't have enough hp to survive a Hoof Kick from ibrv and keeps getting one shot. I tried launch a few times and I also tried running a melee team but I just can't get them down.

Y'shtola's biggest downside is that her EX was slow as hell and thus most of those benefits were locked behind several turns. Now she starts with the BRV regen on and her EX which allows her to go from the very beginning. Her EX was already very strong so imo that's most of what she needed. The KO resist allows you to eat HP attacks in case you can't shave fast enough, it's very useful imo (and she heals herself anyway).

Do you have Vincent? He has INT BRV down debuff so that could help.

Honestly, I'm still gonna gun for favorites instead of meta when we catch up to where JP is. As amazing as the new EX+ are, just like everything in this game, something newer and more powerful will outdue each one that comes out.

For example, I'm expecting Eiko's future EX+ to crap over all current healer/buffer EX+ and then less then a month later, someone like Rikku will get an EX+ that craps over that, etc.

That said, I'm happy EX+ are succeeding in letting older reworked chars become relevant again. Means everyone's favorite gets a turn in the spotlight at some point.
