I think a bunch of people are just hyper focused on only a few characters and getting mass dupes as a result. I'm waiting until monday until I can mlb my 15 weapons for this event (I have 3 powerstones atm) since randomly getting Ace EX means there's no point to drawing anymore.
Currently 2lb on Deuce and Aerith 15, 0lb Dos 35, 1lb Aerith 35, and Ace EX from drawing with 60ish tickets and a gem pull.(I was doing tickets first and things were going extremely bad)
I previously had a 1lb ace 15.

I've seen dudes on twitch with 100+ powerstones and nearly maxed t4 shards. Tons of people complain about nearly maxing t4 shards while I'm constantly depleting mine and having fully awakened synergy characters for every event. They really just need to afk farm some crystals, make a setzer, or use some event tokens for crystals.

I have over 120 power stones currently because I can't seem to pull anything but dupes. I've been largely saving gems but I have spent some on Vaan EX (nope), Rem EX (nothing but Seven weapons), threw some stuff at Garnet, Prishe, Fang and Celes banners too but came up with nothing. The last EX I managed to pull was either Ramza or Y'shtola, can't remember which was more recent. I fear for my luck on Deuce, but I can only spend so much since I'm saving to have 75k for Quistis EX.

Completed EX with Ace, Beatrix, and Deuce. Bahamut summon and Setzer friend. 200k score in around 55 turns.

This one took a lot of resets and a lot more luck. I spent all day on it yesterday and only cleared it this morning.

Rumor is we are getting a spring event with 2x cycle quests to finish off March, but it's just a wishful rumor ATM.

We really don't know, we reached the end of the March calendar, so could also just be a drought of content until April.

Agrias and Kuja LC should be soon enough. I'm expecting an announcement during the stream. I have also just realized that my Earth shards went critical just before lilli's awakening wave, so i'm gonna be touch and go for a bit.

It would be wild if we continue the baddies train by getting both him and Ardyn next but probably more likely a Zenos release will come around the time Shadowbringers actually drops. Guess we'll find out soon since the monthly calendars should be coming out.

We won't get him as an event character so soon, remember Kam dropped in Dissidia NT months ago and he just now appeared as a story villian, let alone a playable one.

I would not be surprised though if they do a reversal next chapter (XI story with Zeno appearing as villian).

Ok, what about Exdeath, Caius, Emperor, CoD then? Also the fact it took them over half a year to release favorites like Sephiroth, Kefka, and Kuja, despite them being almost day 1 on release.

My point is, they've never released a villian out the gate as a playable character. I doubt Shadowbringers will change that. If anything, we'll probably get Gunblade Thancred skin and a Shadowbringers new character as an event to celebrate it's release.

Caius is hated in JP for whatever reason, he doesn't have a fanbase there like he does in the West (which is why we'll probably see him added in GL first). CoD and Emperor are from games that barely anyone remembers and aren't really popular (FFII literally has 3 playable characters, FFIII has one), Exdeath doesn't seem to have any kind of appeal whatsoever (I've never seen anyone making a big deal out of him missing so far, everyone wanted Gilgamesh).
All I'm saying is that JP likes to add characters or buffs in the game when it's convenient: FFXII is getting special treatment this month because it's its anniversary, FFVI will likely follow up next for the same reason. They had special events/banners for XIV in the past so it's not that crazy to assume that Zenos might be coming earlier than expected for a villain. And his name has been thrown around a lot before this reveal, at least in GL.
Thing is: they're starting to run out of main characters for most of the games so they have to add some of the villains at this point. XIV is nowhere near that but it already has a pretty big cast of heroes available.
You can also bet that all the Shadowbringers Scions are gonna be new characters instead of skins although Minfilia is probably the best bet as for actual new additions (she's a trust so she has to have some sort of combat capabilities now).

That's my point though, XIV has such a huge cast of characters that they don't HAVE to introduce and release at the same time Zeno. I get he is ultra popular by the XIV fanbase, but I seriously doubt they'll break the norm for villians just because of that, if we went by that logic, Sephiroth would have been Day 1 of launch since he is THE most popular villian and made people go NUTS pulling for his event banner. They can instead opt for a slightly less popular XIV character to celebrate Shadowbringers, like Minifilia as you mentioned.

Just because Zeno got name dropped doesn't mean he has been introduced properly and is ready to roll out an event for.

Also just because they are running out of main characters, doesn't mean they don't have YEARS worth of secondary characters.

Also finally! I like Evil Tree alot! So don't hate on him!

Edit: One final point, I know for a fact that DFFOO fans would bitch about beyond lazy writing if they went: Zeno appears, "Oh, hey Scions, here's my coordinate data so I can fight with you, bye!"

I'm not really hating on Exdeath, simply stating what I see around. Nobody is really asking for them to be added anywhere, heck I see Luneth and the other remake kids requested more than CoD. I'm not really surprised we haven't seen them yet although CoD is obviously happening unless OK gets his EX+ elsewhere.
Garland was added mostly for that reason imo, WoL is really popular in DFFOO so they wanted to give him his EX+. Similar reasons for Ultimecia but they also don't have many more characters they could add for VIII and they seem to love the game so we keep getting events every few months. It's arguably the most complete and represented game in OO.
They didn't launch with villains because they had enough characters to entice some pulls, once the big money makers were out those villains were the obvious next choice.
I'd also like to add that they specifically said Kam'lanaut was not coming to OO anytime soon when he got announced for NT, they did not say that for Vayne (which was added a few months later) or Zenos (as far as I know).

As for story reasons I'd say we really have no clue honestly, if it's post-Stormblood Zenos he could easily want to join the heroes for his own purposes. Remember that he doesn't care about anyone but himself and his constant desire for a bigger challenge. He thinks he's better than anyone else and will pursue anything that will give him what he wants. They can easily write a believable reason for him to be joining the group. I mean... we have Kefka lol.

Hmm, didn't think of it that way, can easily see him joining simply to give himself an excuse to challenge himself against the enemies the heroes face.

Regardless of when he arrives, I'm just glad FFXIV finally got it's villian and it's Zeno.

Edit: Speaking of villians, we know Ardyn is for XV, but I kinda wonder who they'll pick for FFT (T0 I'm assuming is Cid). I think it might be the Marquis since he is the Mastermind of the war to revive Ultima, but I wouldn't say no to Ultima or Wiegraf.

FFT is so devoid of characters that I'll take anyone at this point. Agrias was the last character they added and she just came back with her LC lol. Although I think TG Cid or Delita are next in line, don't see much push for a villain just yet.

Gafgarion has to be released at some point, as well. Sorry, but I don’t see how they can release Agrias, and not eventually use him too.

Maria's LC is coming on April 4th, Agrias on April 8th, Palom on April 15th. Eidojas on the 18th, 12 characters split into two groups with 10 of them being voted by the community.

Seymour EX is shown and Lightning is likely in the final batch. I wonder if we're getting early Thancred or maybe reissues.
