FFRK - Prima Donna (FF6) Event & Strategies

Well, that was an interesting AI even though the actual battle was pretty easy. Physical mitigation was the way to go and just zerg him down as opposed to stalling. The fact that phase 2 and phase 5 share forms is very useful since you can stack debuffs there and have them on for the final rout. Didn't see any ajas, just blew him up.

Ultros is a pain for me with a synergy team since I lack a medica with Relm.

Edit: got him. Then kicked his ass after subbing in Ysh and Palom.

Decided to try for CM again after I got Terra's SSB. She was kicking as Phase 5, lol. She was literally using Magitek Missile every turn for the entirety of P5.

Went with: Terra(MM), Relm(PoL),Celes, Setzer, Kefka(HW)

This was my first CM victory that required a full party for one realm. (Did the Ramza/Agrias and WoL/P.Cecil CMs)

My synergy for FF6 is definitely the strongest now even though I lack a medica for Relm. This took a few tries because of that but having BSBs for Terra and Celes really helped.

After getting Gau, Celes, Realm and Setzer to 80 in Sundaily (Terra was already), CM was a breeze.

80 Realm - Curaga, Protectga - Paintbrush - Lionheart
80 Celes - Blizzaga Stike, Banishing Strike - Default SB for shellga - Ace Striker
80 Setzer - Full Break, PowerBD - no SB, Gift of the Shinobi (+10% thrown?)
80 Gau - FullCharge, Powerchain - Meteor Rage - The Zangan Way (+20% Fist)
80 Terra - MagicBD, Blizzaja - Blood of Espers (fire proc) - Dr Mogs

no medals lost.

Fucking... tried to go without bringing Shell with Garnet RW. Keep dying because every nuke 1 shots any of my characters.

Honed SC to r4, barely had enough DPS to kill. CM / Mastered

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for next time. Might have saved me the need to hone SC =/ Burned through them in an attempt to minimize the number of nukes going my way. I suppose it's still useful regardless though.

You should give it a try. This Ultimate boss has very little HP and most of the attacks from the adds can be completely nullified by Draw Fire+Retaliate combo. They still have an AoE attack but Protect+Wall should be enough.

absolutely agreed, with shout + full breakdown burst you should definitely have the damage to clear it. might need to S/L a couple of times to get your opening mitigation up cleanly, but if you can manage that you're golden.
