It feels basic as fuck and the jokes pretty much fall flat me most of the time. Maybe the show just aged like milk since this first season was made in 05? The show also leans too fucking hard into the will they, won't they bullshit. I feel like scrubs did it waaaaaaaay better, but I haven't watched that in a fucking long time, so who knows, maybe that also aged like milk.
I'm 3 or 4 episodes on the second season now and I regret continuing after S1E13 because this is the best payload https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-poT8h3bis (comedic or not) the show has managed deliver for me. I'm trying powering through it in hopes that it gets better, but I have a feeling I know how this whole series ends. Ted gets divorced because his wife can't deal with his neurotic bullshit, and he asks his kids if they'd mind Robin as a step mom, because I'll be fucking surprised if the show doesn't end with him and Robin as an item. Unless the show runners go balls deep and kill Robin.

I remember binge watching the first two seasons in like 2008 and enjoying the shit out of it and then i stopped and never went back and watched the finale and i was like WAT THE FUC
