I actually got my TV from Dell a couple years ago. They were running a deal where I got my 55" Samsung smart TV (not 4k) for $600 plus a $150 gift card that I used to get a 45" LG soundbar with a subwoofer. Very happy with it.

I believe OLED is supposed to be the best, I think people are still debating if it's worth buying 4k at this point. That's all I know.

EDIT: 4k thing answered. You guys are too fast.

tbh don't get a smart tv if you the big names even make tvs without all that nonsense. Having to update software on my fucking tv is some next level bullshit.

word, i might get raspberry pi or something small that works with kodi, i have movies and all that shit on my bedroom media pc

I humored you. From TLDR:

If the best size is outside your budget, just get the biggest TV you can afford.

They agree with me. I also bought my TV two years ago I believe and 4k was more expensive.

I mainly posted it for the sliders. Room size is something a lot of people don't pay attention to. They just dive on biggest they can afford.

But then if you're getting a specific size and the screen is a specific distance, 4k might not matter, hell 1080p might not matter.
