After a few S/L mastered. RNG was stupid for water weakness.
Also 3* Black Magic is still pretty good during P2.

You know, I don't even think the JP have Meltdown honed to R2, but the spell just won the day for me. Finally mastered after the Dragon went Lightning Water Fire.
Meltdown is seriously awesome as shit. Glad I didn't craft Ultima or Neo.

Exeath's SSB was the MVP for the last stretch, but gotta redo since water and lightning weakness never pop(was poison, ice, and earth) :/
holy shit the nightmare fight is extremely dumb, i reset 10x and never once saw water weak phase. i wasn't even pushing damage either, so it's not for lack of opportunity. oh well, cleared, not gonna bother mastering this time around.
Like I said. Mastering is all RNG.
just starting trying this, having rng problems. haven't had both lightning and water weakness in the same run yet.
I dont use this type of language a whole lot.
Havoc skytank is a fucking cunt and can go die in a fire.
Protectga + Multi Break (Mind Break dance or Attack Break dance) + KO resist accessories if those missiles are being a pain. AoE it down with Summons/Meteor/Ruinga, or gun wielding Bladeblitz or Sky Grinder.
Thats what I was doing. All of it. Was still getting Missle'd and Cannon'ed to death.
Finally got through it.
On Kaiser, if I'm bringing Selphie for Dreamstage do you think its better to RW Hastemarch/Sheep Song or a Wall? I can bring Kefka (65) for Magitek Infusion but the boost isnt as strong as the previous two.
i ran 4x blm with krile having MM for sheepsong, rosa for magic blink, and RW wall. if you have a native faithga on a BLM, i'd definitely bring that. might need a few extra hones if you only have a 20% boost, but it should be doable. just hold up your first RW cast for phase 2 and you'll be golden.
Im getting down to 40% without too much hassle but then get ripped. May just egg Kefka to 80 for stats and do it that way with Wall.
Was really excited on my best run too. Got Water and Lightning weakness back to back, he shifted to Poison and then WHOAMG.
FInally beat it. No mastery because didn't feel like dealing with RNG fuckery. Maybe some other time.
I got the mastery after several runs. Pain in the butt to get the weaknesses to show. Once I figured out what to use the crystal on it was pretty easy but I had many soul breaks.
I used crystal on water weak since aqua breath does AOE and thunder. Didn't bother with fire, didn't have earth. Technically you can wait till he cycles all elemental weaknesses but your RW is going to run out. Other than that the answer is pretty much "hit it hard" since the dragon isn't all that fast but hits hard when he does.
For some reason drainga was autotargeting the crystal when it popped instead of the dragon, so manual targeting is the way to go.
I don't know how my friend sat through P2 only using 3 charges and going through all 6 resists. Ugh I rather take the S/L than deal with healing through all that. It did help he had Vanille's SSB to help him through hones. Did it with only R3 4* -ja spells. The hell with that risk.
Running into a conundrum.
Ive broken into phase 3 using only 1 or 2 crystal charges, but I begin to run low on hones.
Secondly, if I'm using Kefka for my Darkness user because of Magic Infusion, he starts to hit about 10 seconds left on Doom when entering that phase. This is with me using Wall as a RW.
The problem is when I use Sheep Song RW with Vincent as my Darkness user (Magic Boost + Self Atk/Magic Boost) he ends up at like 15-20 seconds at phase 3 but I don't have the backup from Wall.
I'm worried hones will become an issue at the last 10% if I use Kefka's Faithga, but I'm worried about being able to get to the last 10% when using Sheep Song.
Echo
Terra
Selphie
Kefka/Vincent
Krile (No Sheepsong)
...forgot i had kefkas cloak, lol. he wasn't in my original party. used it to buy a little time between sheepsong RW casts so it would last to the end.
Spoiler: show
It's hard to tell without more details, but it sounds like you are having trouble balancing all the different factors? How bad is your P2 going when you don't RW sent/ss2? My thoughts were that the damage is the important thing here since most of the dangerous attacks ignore res buffs.
I had more luck not using memento mori - instead I used drainga on a heavily buffed and enelement x-death and used the buffs to hit high dark zone numbers. I used tyro for sent grim but I don't think it really contributed much, it was more that my blms are weak soul break wise.
Memento mori is not a good idea for this nightmare
