Beat the remaining three this weekend. All ez with my Red Dragon setup: Dr. Mog's Shout/RW Wall/various mitigations until Faris/Bartz BSB and Jecht SSB are up. Pretty simple, very effective.


Took that setup into Mote Ifrit just to see and LOLno, not gonna happen. OK fair enough

physical teams for mote ifrit are pretty rough. i did it back on release, but it requires stacking offense buffs (shout + HotE) and triple-stacked armor breaks to get damage to acceptable levels, and i think i still lost action medals. unless you already have all of the key pieces natively, it's way more practical to go with the rinoa burst RW method.

yeah, mostly I just wanted to see if I could do it. but he hits hard. three phys attacks per turn >_> I thought he was weak to water as well as ice; if he were I might have been able to pull it off between Faris and Bartz hitting weakness.


no big, I don't need the motes + they'll come back, unlike the Doom Event motes.

Pooped on Tiamat. Used Mustadio/Balthier/Fang/Ramza/Y'sh. Mustadio and Balthier have the ten-shot SSBs and just put him in the ground with Shout.

broke out kain for some rising drive > dragoon jump action. also some other characters that probably contributed in some way

Cid (Hyper Jump) Rikku and Freya + Shout did fast work of him. RW Bartz BSB.

Pretty much mowed over this thanks to Quistis, Ysh, and my legion of Kimahri, Edgar, and Setzer just obliterating this boss.

that one took a few tries. brought Protectga (not sure why?) and had to switch it out for Shellga. her physicals were bad; her magic was way worse. I think I had to S/L once more after that due to healer getting stopped. ended up getting almost full medals with Ramza dead and one medal lost for damage.

Faris BSB + bloodlust made physical attacks a non-issue.
