Counter propaganda perhaps?
Counter propaganda perhaps?
well the Duma member who said it is a commie so hard to tell if it's their typical idiocy or intentional sabotage
Perhaps only oligarchs keep money in the Russian banks, but if the saving profile is anything like the US and they go through with that, Putin will have either committed to making Russia a bigger, colder North Korea or will have signed his own death warrant.
I donno if this man is just crazy or there's something larger here that he's not letting on. I figure a guy like that will not plan a large scale invasion if he thinks he wont be alright in the long term. Russia is now isolated, and the ruble has tanked all the way through the Earth's mantle. Yet he keeps going. . .and he ain't alright.
Look they do these *because they work*, especially with racial tensions within the US. It's good we are willing to defend racial minorities but they know it's a strong dividing line of conflict and use it to amplify their desired foregone conclusion of "so then it follows that ALL of Ukraine or ALL of the US or ALL of NATO are then damnable and don't deserve support." I've definitely shared info before that later dug into and found was inaccurate. They make it difficult to determine reality on purpose during a time of non-stop new info.
The hashtag #AbolishNATO was trending yesterday, that one was extremely transparent to see who could possibly benefit from that. When you examined which accounts were retweeting/amplifying most were obvious new accounts with almost no prior tweets and various communist organizations. LOL.

"we will nationalize the banks so we can have more rubles" is such a weird fiscal strategy that I still think that guy was talking out of his ass. Maybe they don't teach monetary policy to all the komrads in Soviet Russia.
Random thought: Remember when all of UK was pissed at Boris for those covid parties? Impending nuclear holocaust has a way of pushing all other outrages to the side.
Can you believe the Biden/Trudeau/Boris tricked Putin into invading Ukraine so that they can distract from all of their issues at home?!
War emotions are always interesting to see.
Particularly the huge shift in opinion of Zelensky during all this.
Prior to all of this he was seen as a relatively ineffective and at worst inept leader. His biggest claim to anything was being bullied by Trump about Hunter Biden. Now he's an international hero.
or that propaganda is extremely effective
why not both
idk we saw the president of Afghanistan run the second he could maintaining a long tradition of heads of state dipping the instant shit gets real and this TV clown told the U.S. to give him a gat or fuck off when the same offer to skedaddle was made with Russian armor in the outskirts of his capital city.
propaganda generally isn't just something true that's emphasized
it's a little bit of both
people like underdog tales and he's no doubt way less involved on the front lines than his government is selling to his people, because if he actually was continually on the front lines that would be monumentally dumb
