Pretty sure Ukrainians are family to any of the neighboring countries they're fleeing to. Unless you mean white, which would explain why all the black and brown people had such difficulties leaving Ukraine. Ukraine isn't apart of NATO either. Ukraine becoming Russian territory has a direct effect on EU/NATO security because it changes the proximity of Russia to NATO's eastern borders. Poland and the Baltic states have a vested interest in Ukraine and are rooting for Ukraine because Ukraine is their buffer.

That doesn't prove your claim here (that people don't care about Syria because they are racist against brown people).

They don't care about Syria because they have no reason to. The default is apathy. People care about Ukraine because it impacts them.

A Belarusian government backed by Russia and also supports Russian interests should've probably had NATO and the EU on higher alerts if caring about the Eastern border was of higher priority and get a bit more coordination rather than simply rooting for them i.e. Poland sending fighter jets etc.

Also the immigration process shows that they were much more accepting of Ukrainians (that were white) vs black and brown people in Ukraine, whether they be citizens or foreign nationals vs Syrian refugees.

my guy. you came into this thread today, completely out of left field, claiming all of europe is racist because you can't discern the difference between a refugee escaping from a civil war and one that is escape from an invasion. and why those two peoples, whether right or wrong, may produce different reactions from those providing the asylum

France hates Arabs, Spain hates Jews, Italians hate Blacks, Serbs and Czechs hate other Slavs, Poles seem to have a generalized dislike of brown people, Belarus is a straight up fascist state so I imagine their prejudices are pretty broad, the British have so much hate they export it, Scandinavians view other races as curiosities, Germany and Austria both seem to be following France's lead on Muslims, and absolutely everybody in Europe flat out despises Romani.

I've never heard anything specific about Portugal, but I'm sure it's something like they hate Brazilians.
