I don't really love the idea of getting hooked into another MMO but this looks interesting and the no sub fee won't make me feel bad for not playing it weeks at a time.

Is it gonna brick my 3090 though? D: (mine is not EVGA)

8AM BRT South American Servers will launch (9/28 4am PT)
9PM AEST Australian Servers will launch (9/28 4am PT*)
8AM ET NA East Coast Server will launch (9/28 at 5am PT)
8AM PT NA West Coast Servers will launch

And preload will be the day prior.

Don't think it's been mentioned here, but user names are globally unique across all servers. That paired with the staggered launch times has some people pretty upset. Many are planning to make a character on an EU server to reserve the name, and then deleting the character to free it up before starting on NA.

Yeah, I kinda wish you could make a char now and assign it a server later as I think logistically that'd be better than everyone bombarding the other worlds just to make a char and delete it later.

I found a random Syndicate company to join (they seem alright) and we're going hard for an early town on Zuvendis. If anyone is without a company can hit me up, I plan to be on all day tomorrow.

I wanna play this pretty bad but Endwalker is so close, don't think I can commit time to another MMO

Then again I guess it could be like almost every other MMO in the last few years and die by the time EW comes out

It's possible, especially if there are massive imbalance issues, but New World is heavily PvP centric, so I feel it has very little overlap with XIV, and WoW is falling apart. I can totally see NW being a final blow to finish off WoW, with most of the playerbase split between XIV and NW.

How bad? I wouldn't mind playing on the same server as BG people but I'm abso-fucking-lutely not choosing the religious faction over the science faction even if it's just a game and the Covenant look like warrior priests from WH.

I haven't played for about six hours, so I have no idea what the lay of the land currently looks like. On the plus side, logging in this morning, about 40 minutes after server up, had no queue.

I started a character on Zuvendis right after my last post, started queue at 1100 and currently at 800.

If you can, watching Twitch streams can get you weapon skins. I'm "watching" until I can unlock the glove skin before logging back in. Also, Prime bundle that is up gives 5k shop currency, an emotes, and some skins.

Bundled with the game? I got the Steam version that comes with skins/emotes. No mention of shop currency.
