No one alive has seen the cubs win a world series. Majority of fans have not seen cubs win a pennant. It is an accomplishment either way.

I know it has been a long time for a pennant, but are you saying fans would still be satisfied with a WS loss?

I was responding to your earlier statement, not making any such statement of that flavor.

We want WS, pennant is to be celebrated either way.

It's the journey man. This is one step in the right direction. Of course people are going to be excited. You celebrate every win on the way to the championship. It would literally be no fun at all if we couldn't celebrate until the WS was won.

Wasn't trying to rain on anyone's parade, obviously you celebrate winning a pennant. My point was that I was surprised how big the celebration was given there is still a WS to play

This is one of the few WS that I can remember truly being a neutral observer. I will be happy for either team. If Cleveland wins, I will celebrate Francona getting another ring after getting fucked in Boston. If Chicago wins, I will be happy for Lester after getting fucked in Boston. Someone will end a drought, and I don't particularly care who it is. After the Sox won in 2004, I have always enjoyed watching a team end a drought because I sort of get to relive that experience vicariously.

Well. There wont be any tom brady or aaron rogers in ws, so he shouldnt be biased.

He wasnt that bad in nlcs
