2016-2017 NHL Regular Season Thread, Week 26: Holy Fuck Colorado Was Bad

[bori]

The Wild have quietly won 11 games in a row too.

Season of the long ass streaks.

The Wild have quietly won 11 games in a row too.

As a Bruce Boudreau team they also won't make it passed the 2nd round of the playoffs. To be honest Im not sure how the team is looking this good now outside of Devan Dubnyk's insane goaltending.

[Obsidian]

If they both win again before Saturday it'll be the 14 game streak on the line against the 12 game streak.

Blackhawks signed Panarin to an apparent 2 year extension, 6M AAV.

[Vaspinne]

If they keep all their remaining players, they'll only have 15 NHL players signed for next season with $7mil to fill out the rest of the roster =/

Says 6.4m lol

[Obsidian]

It's a good thing the Leafs have a good PK because holy fuck do they take too many penalties.

I was doing lazy math

How the fuck they manage to sign 10 more players for $6.4m is completely beyond me. The league minumum is $575,000 this year and I doubt they'll sign 10 players for the league minimum next year

Carey with the save of 2017 and its not even 2017 yet.

Leafs score on the PP, Panthers take an Unsportsmanlike after the goal, the league calls the goal back because Kadri was on the ice so he clearly interfered somehow, Leafs get a 2 man advantage because of the penalty the Panthers took over a goal that didn't happen, then two seconds into the 5-on-3 JVR (the guy who scored the goal that didn't count) gets called for Phantom Interference.

And then we scored again anyway.

[Obsidian]

Almost 60 SOG combined in this game and the third period hasn't even started yet.

There are saves where a goalie is diving over and a shot gets aimed right into their glove and people lose their shit. And then there are saves like this where the puck is clearly shot well before the goalie even moves and he somehow gets enough on it at the last second.

Easily save of the year worthy, holy shit.

I hope the refs in this game all walk out to find their cars on fire. Like holy fuck even when we draw a penalty they just tack on diving so we can't have a powerplay.

[Ratatapa]

After the bolt comeback they take a too many man penalty

[Ratatapa]

This is awful, we need pk back

[bori]

This is awful, we need pk back

But I thought Weber > PK

[Ratatapa]
