I can see a large group of Ducks fans where DFJS is sitting.
I'm across at 324 row 4, in front to your left across the rink. I'll drop by during second intermission.

CAR would be pretty solid if they didn't have to play the Metro, they are;
21-18-7 Overall
4-10-2 vs Metro
17-8-5 vs Everyone Else
Fucking weeeeeak embellishment call
Gaudreau hit definitely not malicious. Just a situation where a short player got ran into by a taller, bigger guy. From his position, if anything Johnny should have seen that coming.
He's back on the ice, looks fine
Annnnd another softie. Flames gotta do something here. Both goalies are shitting the bed so hard. Make a trade, call up Gillies/Rittich, something.
15 mins into the 2nd and ducks still don't have a shot on goal. God our 2nd periods suck. This 5050 is insane. Almost to 50k. Gotta get me some.
To be fair to the Calgary goaltenders, their D is built for a Run a and Gun offence, and are soft as pillows. Once you pressure them they don't look so good and cough up the puck. An example: Dougie Hamilton is on pace for 50+ points and is a minus player. It will take an all star goalie to survive those conditions.
I would agree with that until you see some of the goals that have gone in. I'm not saying the D is perfect, far from it, but the goaltending isn't helping the situation either.
KADRIIIIIIIIIIII
Almost 24mins without a shot on goal is pathetic. Jets flat out out worked the ducks on that powerplay. Well pretty much the entire period tbh.
The ole' "we're down by a big deficit so we'll take a bunch of stupid penalties" strategy. Perfect. Cue the comeback.
Caps have 44 goals in their last 8 games, that's 5.5 gpg.
64 in the last 13, @4.9
Curse OTT for being the only team to hold them under 4 Goals, which they did twice, and still couldn't win. (5.5gpg in the 11 games not against OTT). 12-0-1 in that stretch.
The thing is though, you look at the numbers both Elliott and Johnson have put up over the last few seasons and you'd expect some consistency. You could arguably attribute Elliott's success to St Louis' defensive style though. But ultimately they were touted as very positive and smart moves by Treliving in the off-season. So yeah, you're right to question the defense/defensive system put in place.
What makes this situation worse is that there are rumours of Treliving walking in the off-season. He's on his last year of his contract and supposedly (to no one's surprise) having Burkie constantly over his shoulder paired with calgary's terrible ownership, Treliving is ready to move on. Which is a god awful shame. He's consistently made fantastic moves as Flames GM.
Bombur has posted a bunch of times in here before, I'm pretty sure. Not often, but I do remember the name lol

I'll bet any money Komarov gets suspended for that hit by the way.
