This ducks lightning game is crazy. So many penalties, have had at least 4 instances of 4 on 4. Last night against the panthers it was pretty much the same. For teams that only see each other twice there's been alot of bad blood. Ducks pp is so bad right now. On the flip side their pk has been outstanding.

Another shootout loss Inc for the ducks. Once refs stopped calling penalties game opened up and got alot more entertaining.


Jesus christ I wish they'd stop using Corey Perry in the shootout. He can't fucking score this season and he sucks ass in the shootout. Meanwhile there's a few players on the bench with better shootout stats.

Leafs iced the puck, and took forever to setup for the draw to kill time. Julien said "aight, fuck it" and sent Bergeron for the draw, despite the fact he just had a shift, thats how long the Leafs took to set up. Refs noticed something was up but sent Bekelsey off the ice instead of Bergeron.

So realistically the refs let both teams get away with a little something there.

“incidental contact outside the crease between Hayes and Price did not constitute a goaltender interference infraction”, according to the NHL on Jan 14. Today, Patch wasnt in the crease, bumped Holtby who was out of the crease, and the goal is called off.

I get you are pissed about the other non-call against you guys in a completely different game, against a completely different team but if you seriously think that wasn't GI on Patches, you are stupid. Patches ran straight into Holtby, at the top of the crease. Holtby is clearly in the crease and Patches foot enters the crease right at the point of contact. You are crazy if you thinks that's a good goal.

Yes, the NHL has been pretty shit on GI reviews and calls, and very inconsistent but they got that one 100% right.

The refs were not good, but they didn't just hand the game to the Caps like you are making it sound either.

The problem is that two weeks ago, the league basically said "GI is allowed as long as contact is outside of the paint." That sets a precedent that they clearly didnt follow today. Goalies should have freedom to move within their crease, as long as they're mostly in their crease, but the NHL was very explicit on why Price was allowed to be interfered with two weeks ago.
