I'd like to think he plan was "I'm going to do something that he's clearly not expecting and pass to the trailer", but he didnt even attempt a move to try to get the goalie out of position for the trailer. Deke backhand to forehand to try and move the goaltender one way then drop pass to the trailer for an open net.

Back to back wins for Vancouver and Winnipeg and all of a sudden both are back in the hunt for a playoff spot. Wpg 3 points back and Van 6 points back. I dunno how their fans feel about this though, lol.

They wanna discuss about removing the ability to call a timeout for the team that creates an icing. Since the goal is to "penalize" the team by not letting them to rest.


I think that rule change could be a good idea if it does happen

I've always felt the icing rule was idiotic. If you want to "penalize" a team give them a penalty if you think they're abusing icing pucks as a defensive tactic. Hockey already seems to have an inordinate amount of pro level athletes falling over from mid game heart issues compared to other sports due to its high intensity aerobic interval demands and they're forcing athletes to keep playing when their body truly might not have anything left in the tank. You can say it's stupid and it's unlikely to occur and they know the risks and they get paid big bucks but honestly... if we were all watching an intense SCF game on a Saturday night and a well respected player like Hossa dropped dead on the ice after a 1:45 shift cause of a couple idiotic icing calls barring him from changing... do you really think there'd still be support for the icing rule as it currently is?

If there was more than one timeout per game I could see that change as a possibility but since there's only one it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Should just leave it the way it is.
