They still have 17 games to go and games against teams in front of them (Stl and LA). I'm not saying they are going to be a playoff team or that they should try to get in (they shouldn't) but they definitely still have a decent enough chance to catch up especially with both Stl and LA playing .500 or less hockey over this last stretch of games.
I also posted that because I think it's funny that they finally started shedding some of their older guys for youth and suddenly won back to back games against LA and Ana
They also played better against Anaheim later in the game once Eriksson got injured and coach Willie had to actually start juggling his lines a bit. He's been notorious for being too loyal to some players who have proven to be bad (Megna and Chaput) while keeping other players reigned in (Horvat). I'm still unsure how I feel about the coach as he's helped develop a few younger players well but his deployment is honestly one of the biggest problems with this team.
So wait, when I said in years past the young flames shouldn't try to get in the playoffs you bitched endlessly but now you're saying the rebuilding Canucks - with far weaker of a draft class this year to tank for than the flames had - should not be trying to make the playoffs?!?!?!?!?!?!
damn you one hypocritical mofo
Let's play where's Bergevin

7-2-2 is not that bad
In news BK will love, the Rangers have recalled Tanner Glass
When the "irrelevant Habs" destroyed the Rangers so badly they resorted to recalling Tanner Glass:
SUCK MY BALLS HAHAHAHAH
Would be pointless, players already do everything they can get away with to stall for rest time on any "serious" icing. Suddenly every goalie has mask issues, players all break their sticks and some guy snuck on to the bench and the refs have to waste 1m to sort it all out, and then the Center is kicked out of the circle. If you want to make icings a real penalty, it's a better idea to simply penalize a team for stalling on them.
Your team is 1st in your division and still 5th in the Conference in terms of points, yawn.
Reid Duke is the first player in Golden Knights franchise history, signed to a 3yr entry-level deal
WHL free agent who's already 21 years old. As significant as the signing of him being the first player is, I wonder if he'll ever wear a GK's jersey in a non pre-season game.
