That's what happens when you fight Evgeni Malkin and have shit for goaltending.

Lmao. I still see some people trying to defend Helle.
Why can't people just accept that he's not that good.
Hutchison is evidently no better.
Pens win!
Pens Win!!!
PENS WIN!!!!!
Last time the Flames and Canadiens played, Calgary lost 5-1 and Gulutzan ripped into the team calling them pathetic. Since then the Flames are 12-2-1 and are 2 points back of both Anaheim and Edmonton. With some help from Washington, we can catch up to both Anaheim and Edmonton tonight and go from struggling to maintain a wildcard spot to fighting for a divisional playoff spot.
Feels good man.
You'll get some help from the ducks schedual vasp. They have Chicago tonight, St Louis tomorrow and the caps on Sunday. Must be nice to win more than one game in a row. Since January the ducks haven't won 2 games in a row. Only good thing is later on there's a few head to head games vs the flames and Edmonton as well. It'll most likely come down to the last game of the season to see who gets 2 and 3 in the Pacific and that wildcard spot.
It's going to be a tight battle the rest of the way. I don't see any of the 3 teams dropping out of the playoffs with the 8 or whatever point lead on the other WC teams, but moreso just a matter of which order they finish at.
...
..
Part of me would feel some kind of orgasmic joy if Edmonton just bottomed out and somehow missed the playoffs.
It's not a far stretch. 11 of their next 13 games are at home (ok, they started that stretch last game, but still) and they play like garbage at Rogers Place. PP drops to 67754709868954th in the league, and they try to be overly fancypants for the crowd. I'd be choked, but not surprised if they only won 2 of those 11 here tbh.
That being said, they released their pamphlet for season ticket holders about a potential playoff run and it's as follows. They want a commitment up front for an entire run, not just after round 1 noticing "oh fuck, this could get expensive..." and backing out. You either agree to go for the whole ride or not at all. The price increase is as follows
Round 1: 44% increase over the normal cost
Round 2: 68% increase over normal
Conf Final: 92% increase
Stanley Cup Finals: 188% increase.
So your average $160 ticket now becomes $235, $274, $313 and $470 per, as the playoffs go on. Lawl
Not happening
All of the prophecies have come true:
Therrien has been fired
Cubs broke their curse
Tom Brady did Tom Brady things
There will be a battle of Alberta in the NHL playoffs this year
Atleast they're not pulling a Boston Bruins and selling playoff tickets before they've even made the playoffs.
Yeah playoff pricing gets fucking insane. Iirc for the ducks for our two seat in the first round it's like 400 ish. If they make it all the way to goes up to like 2k. Luckily it's pay as they go. I hope for my sake it's for all the possible home games and not per game. I prolly should have asked that beforehand.
Also, you could easily re-sell cup finals tickets for a G, unless Edmonton doesnt let you re-sell, then lol @ forcing people to buy tickets.
You guys wanna talk dumb prices, for games at the ACC against Boston in 2013 you couldn't get standing-room tickets for less than $300 each. Anything in the lower bowl cost you at least $1000.
Damn.
Oh, I'm sure you can resell for more - was just saying that was the mandatory increase on the pricing for face value. Which of course means anyone scalping just charges more. I knew there would be a premium or up-charge on playoff tickets, I just didn't expect it to hike up to almost 3x the ticket straight up from the Oilers.
Like say the Oilers had a miracle run like in 06 - and each round they played 3 home games. Your $160 per game for regular season would turn into $3900~ish face value for the 12 playoff games. That's a big chunk of change to commit to on the fly and be put on the spot for. I mean, you can always say no. But they won't let you bitch out midway through like "Ah fuck, this is expensive."
Carey Price last minute scratch, thats a free two points for the Flames.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
yeah, he's got the flu
Simmonds is the ultimate Leaf killer, Jesus fucking Christ he scores every game he plays us.
