Why the fuck is Florida up 6-0 on the Blackhawks?
Why the fuck is Florida up 6-0 on the Blackhawks?
Marchessault has a Hatty and FLA put 7 on CHI, lol
Daniel Winnik with a pair of goals tonight
That team has two of the top 100 players OF ALL TIME on it. I don't understand how this could happen.
Dude, when was the last time CHI got shutout so bad?
Sharks getting in Shrak form, looking like they gonna lose 6 in a row
Sharks have the highest avg age in the NHL, and they made the SCF last year. They're probably gassed.
Sharks routed as well
1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the pacific all tied with Calgary only 3 points back and 2 games each against SJ and ANA still. I genuinely can't make a prediction as to who will finish where at this rate. SJ had like a 12 point buffer on everyone below them but Nynja is right, old team is old.
Pittsburgh's the second oldest (at the start of the season), but most of their top players are 28-30 at most, with a couple youngsters thrown in. The age of SJ's top players in order of points: 31,32,27,37,37,36,35,27,29...average of 32.33333333333333. Average age of Pittsburgh's top 9: 29.11111111111111, and that 9th is a 37 year old Kunitz...28.125 without him, and SJ's avg age in their top 8 is 32.75. I know 4 1/2 years doesnt sound like a lot, but considering that your average established NHL's career is about 15 years (age 20 to 35), thats a lot.
inb4: "NHL careers dont end at 35, Jagr is 44 and he's still playing". And I'll retort with Tomas Fleischmann put up 27 points in 66 games in 2015 (solid third line production) at age 30, the next year he had to sign a PTO for a chance to get a minimum salary contract where he still put up 25 points in 76 games. 0.33 P/GP isnt solid production, but among all forwards who played a minimum of 20 games, thats still 249'th, which would be the bottom end of third line production (presuming 1-90 is all first liners, 91-180 is all second liners, 181-270 is all third liners). In 2017, no one wanted to sign him, and his NHL career is essentially done at 32.
Fun fact of the night, Mony has 7OT goals making him the Flames all-time leader in that department. To give you a comparison, Jagr (to no ones surprise) is the all-time leader with 19. Monahan is also 22 years old to Jagr's 44.
I also saw another stat a while ago, not only is Monahan the goal scoring leader out of all the 2013 draft picks, he's also ahead of all the 2012 picks too lol. And out of all of the 2011 picks, only Landeskog has more goals (Mony is 1 ahead of Saad and tied with Kucherov who admittedly has played fewer NHL games then Mony, so his GPG average is higher).
Jagr also played for a long time when OT didn't exist in the regular season.
wat? OT's always existed.
Not in the current form or previous form.
