rip exciting final day watching the Isle and Botls trying to steal the final spot.
waiting for Karma to strike and Tom Sestito accidently trips and pushes Crosby down the stairs.
He completely blew every expectation out of the water, as basically every rookie on the team has. But Matthews, holy fuck. Even better than advertised.
Edit: Tomorrow should still be a fun game to watch, it'll determine who the Sens, Leafs, Bruins and Caps all play.
Kapanen got first star of the game haha.
the only thing I care about tmo is not seeing any injuries, though the Caps do have a chance to hit 120 points again. Would be the only team other than the late 70s MTL teams to hit 120pts in b2b seasons.

I want Edmonton to lose this so bad so we can have the Ducks/Flames matchup.
Fucking Jets. Seven game winning streak to end at 89 points. You couldn't get a more perfect 9th team in the league than them.
Was it really so hard to have one less 3/4/5/6/7 game losing streak?!

It's okay, next year will be another Stanley Cup year for the Jets.
Welcome to the party Toronto! Glad you finally made it.![]()
In 33 games with Ottawa this year Curtis Lazar had 1 assist. In 4 games with Calgary so far, he's had 1 goal and 2 assists. If our lineup wasn't already packed, the kid would definitely be a mainstay in it. He'll definitely have a spot in the roster next year for sure if he keeps playing the way he has when he's made it into the lineup
As far as who Calgary plays, I'm pretty indifferent. Edmonton swept the season series and against Anaheim Calgary went 1-4-0. So pick your poison I guess? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The only upside I can think of is that the only times we played Edmonton were at the very start of the year when Calgary didn't have their shit together and in January when Johnson's hotstreak started getting back to normal and Calgary as a unit still wasn't cohesive in front of their goalies. So I think the playing against them will have a slightly different outcome compared to the season games. But regardless, both matchups are going to be a big uphill climb.
Not to forget, Giordano fucked up Fowler's knee. So there's gonna be plenty of bad blood there (BoA will probably be just as ruthless).
I want the Flames/Ducks matchup for how nasty it will likely be.
I really liked Lazar but he just couldn't figure it out with Boucher. I hope he succeeds in Calgary because the kid has a great attitude.
I think he'll find a good spot on the team next year. I really hope he, Sam Bennett and Mark Jankowski end up forming a line together. Benny especially has had a tough time finding consistency but this is only his 2nd full NHL season after all. No need to rush him
I also really hope Calgary avoids the nasty stuff. They were able to keep up physically with Anaheim and LA when it got nasty the last couple games, but when it comes to maintaining composure and playing the game and actually scoring and winning, Calgary was out matched by both of them.
Oh God, just read the usual crap Maurice does at the end of players playing with injuries.
And Chevy has a post season press conference on Monday that Maurice is in attendance.
