Several players I've talked to said if they're selected to respective Olympic teams, they're going no matter what NHL says.

Welp, after taking several uncalled slashes to the hands that forced him to leave last nights game, it was announced this morning that Johnny Gaudreau would need surgery on a broken finger. Just lovely.
So my buddy works in the front office for the Pens. He made a pretty cryptic post on FB earlier. I tried texting him to see what's up all he said was watch the news. And here it is.

If you don't want to click the link, someone broke into his house and stole his Stanley Cup ring.
Stamkos with a lateral meniscus tear.
NHL being dirty as fuck with the NHLPA about going to the Olympics. They proposed that if the players really want to go, than they can compromise by extending the current CBA
Beagle and Oshie with the shortie!
For the record, that Stamkos injury is likely to keep him out 4-6 months provided he doesn't just super-human bullshit his way back onto the ice before then like when he broke his femur in half. When I tore my meniscus my doctor said the two options were either a menistectomy (they cut out the torn part) or repair. The menistectomy will leave you extremely prone to arthritis and all three specialists I spoke to advised against it. It was roughly 20 weeks after I had it repaired (they basically just stitched the tear back together) before I felt like I had most of the stability in my knee back.
Edit: It also looks like a menistectomy is what Taylor Hall had done today.
Prolly more like a month or two for super star athletes.
Holtby with a great save, catching the puck with his stick just as it hit the line
It'd be 4-6 weeks if he had the menistectomy (Taylor Hall), but when you have it repaired it takes significantly longer. I had to be on crutches to keep the weight off my knee for a month and I doubt your level of fitness could impact that time much.
Pierre is taking every opportunity to bash any and every Caps player he can tonight, lol.
and Nicky scores to shut him the fuck up for now
