    Commentary

There isn't much you can do about Evrae Altana aside from blitzing it down with holy attacks, but Seymour's entire aresenal of attacks can be Reflected or absorbed by Runic/Grand Cross. Mortibody's AOEs will still get through, but they're less powerful.

    HP: ~178,432

    Absorbs: None

    Commentary

Not entirely sure how the Swallow/Regurgitate mechanics work, I killed him too fast. In FFX, if the character who was swallowed did nothing, they would be killed when Regurgitated, otherwise they would be reduced to 1 HP and everyone else would take the Regurgitated character's HP-1 in damage. If Geosgaeno is killed while a character is swallowed, he deals massive damage to the entire party. Don't know if the mechanics are identical in FFRK, but they should at least be close.

Not much to this one. Easiest is probably to pack Draw Fire + Retaliate to negate the physicals (and the Slow) and Magical mitigation otherwise.

    Commentary

Seymour casts Shell on himself as an interrupt at the start of Phase 1 and Phase 3. The Guardo Guards cast Protect on themselves as an interrupt, at the start of Phase 1. Seymour cannot be attacked or damaged until both Guado Guards are dead. Once Seymour has been reduced to 50% or less HP in Phase 1, he despawns and Anima spawns. Anima will either use Pain or enter Charging state on her turn. While in Charging state, she will do nothing then return to Default state. Once she has taken a certain number of turns, she will use Oblivion. Once Anima is defeated, Seymour will re-spawn with his full Phase 3 stats including full HP.

Carbuncle still chumps most of this fight. Seymour can't do anything through it in phase 1 and 60% of his offense in phase 3 will bounce as well. Anima ignores it completely. Note that none of the enemies in this fight have an especially large amount of HP on their own - you can probably kill Anima with just a couple B/SSBs, for example. You probably want to lean a little more heavily on magic mitigation than physical even with Carbuncle, since Anima's Pain pierces Reflect and so does Seymour's AOE Firaga and Thundaga. The physical attacks are negligible except for Anima's Oblivion, which she should never really have the chance to use.

40% chance to activate in response to lightning-element physical attacks: Body Slam (NAT: deal 112% physical damage to all targets)

    Commentary
    • Geosgaeno enters Weak state at 70% HP and Very Weak state at 40% HP

Geosgaeno has a mix of both physical and magical single target and AOE abilities, so pack all-around mitigation. Other than that, he's weak to practically all elemental damage including Holy, so just tee off on him with your best attacks. Be careful if you use physical lightning attacks as he will counter those more and more frequently as the fight goes on. This boss isn't very tricky, it's a standard tank and spank.

Event Quest Notes: Shout/Hastemarch/Sheep Song is probably the pick for RW on a synergy team. I would angle Wakka more towards magical mitigation (i.e., Full Break + Magic Breakdown) since Geosgaeno uses magical attacks slightly more frequently than physicals. However, if you have the room, you can just pack Shellga and use Power Breakdown instead, since some of his physicals ignore defense and thus you might want more protection from them.

30/95 chance: Nova (NAT: deal 250% magical non-elemental damage to all targets, ignoring resistance)

    Commentary
    • Omega Weapon enters Weak phase at 70% HP and Very Weak phase at 40% HP.

Aside from its basic physical attack and Gravity, all of Omega Weapon's attacks are magical, so prepare with heavy magical mitigation. It's weak to water but resistant to every other element, so stick to water and non-elemental attacks. For once, the U++ boss isn't weak to holy, no Saint Cross spam here.

This is my stash dump. I want Tidus OSB... He's my first 99, my first BSB, and the one I've dumped most my resources into. I'd stab someone with a sharp toothbrush for this OSB. Don't deny me this!

I feel the same way about Yuna's new SSB, really want it, also since this is the realm i'm hurting the most in for SBs and synergy, any of the items, including Tidus' Trap item will help greatly, i'm just hoping I don't get screwed on this like my last 50 and get a off banner relic only....

i'm in pretty great shape for X synergy, but for a physical OSB i don't think i can do better than this one. already have the water armor from IX, tidus' BSB, and 99'ed him with the most recent MC3. definitely pulling here.

in other words, looking forward to my 1/11 riot blade since it's the one relic from this banner i have

I think Yuna's SSB is the only thing I actually might want here. It's the first new stock curaga SB.

well, for anyone lucky enough to hit OSB, i've set my RW to tidus at level 99 with abes all-star so you can enwater before you wreck shit. not sure if it matters but i jammed quina's water+ pin on him, should be 563 attack with RS. friend code is rge2 if you need it!

Now that I have OverTidus, I guess I should actually get around to honing Powerchain to R3.

Id actually trade OSB for Yuna's SSB, but meh.

I wonder how much mythril it would take to get my Tidus from 65 to 99 this Sunday. Kinda tough call because I'm saving for a lot of banners right now. I'd like to have him up as RW for this event, but IDK if it's worth it unless I can level him up more. Thoughts?

If you're that desperate just go solo with Luneth's EXP RM. Last sunday I did that with Vaan and I got him from 80 to 96, no mythrils used.

I don't have Luneth up yet waiting for FFIII event to get the MC2 without spending a lode.

I think I'll take him in there solo with one of the 20% RMs and see how far I get, then make a decision from there. I guess my question really is: would people want RW Tidus OSB for this event? I always use wall so I'm not really sure.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure 90% of the FFX Ultimates from now on are weak to water so his OSB will be quite helpful, especially to those of us with Wall and Shout. It's also true that you don't need 99 to hit the damage cap really, especially in X realms where your 6* sword with water boost gets sinergy bonus

when i solo someone to 99, i generally use a few growth eggs to get them up to 83-84 or so first, as that's usually where they can get guaranteed one-shot on everything with bladeblitz (iirc it's something like 415 attack). last couple i've done were on sunday night after clearing the U+ when i have no stamina left, so i burn a bit of mythril because i'm impatient and don't want to wait a week to get them leveled, haha. 2-3 refreshes and a bit of luck on EXP RM triggering will get you most of the way there.

Can confirm, it's pretty hard to solo EXP sub-80 unless you're dripping with attack gear. You need at least 400 attack to kill most things in the EXP dungeon.

used the same synergy team for the full U/+/++ gauntlet. obviously beyond stacked on this realm so i plowed through it handily, tidus' BSB is just too good here.

    tidus - powerchain/lifesiphon, ace striker - BSB
    khimari - dragoon jump/lifesiphon, knight's charge - SSB (damage + mblink)
auron - fire blossom/lifesiphon, battleforged - banishing blade
wakka - armor breakdown/sapphire shot, MM - BSB
yuna - curaja/proshellga, dr mog - miracle veil

might triple-break yuna as my A-team healer since she can solo exp, that HP stock medica is godlike.

Much easier than last event. 1/1 on U, U+, U++

U++ has high defense and a lot of HP though, so you'll want well honed abilities for the fight, since it'll be a longer one
