This actually looks like fairly rigorous journalism. I maybe haven't been giving Mother Jones enough credit.

Just asking.
If Trump goes down as traitor, would the people around him also get implicated? Say, Kellyanne conway? I really don't like that women.
So much shit going on and this dude hasn't even taken the oath yet. Like a dark cloud just hanging over the entire nation.
This is why taxes should be the first thing released during the campaign.
Hopefully if Dems can come back to power at some point (i.e. we don't have total political collapse in the near future), this will be one of the things they put into law. Probably can't make it happen until Republicans take away everyone's health care and make the economy implode, but it's a no-brainer for any Dem who runs in 2020.
Also holy shit this could just be an extreme coincidence, but if the following is connected this could go a lot deeper than most people think:

The jist of it is that the Russians may have promised a stake in Rosneft to Trump's people in exchange for lifting sanctions, and there was a deal made after the election for the same amount to what could be a Qatari intermediary.
I'm gonna become a bitter, salty old man if nothing comes out of these investigations...
Nothing's gonna happen.
If you guys want to make it though the next eight years, you ought to get rid of this pipe dream that Trump will get impeached.
I also do not believe he will be impeached.
But I concurrently believe that the information about his Russian dealings will come to light eventually.
if his transition performance is any indication it will likely only be four. he has the lowest approval rating of any president-elect in the history of Gallup polling. 51% of Americans disapprove of his handling of the transition, whereas Obama's and Bush's dislikes in 2009 and 2001 were 12% and 25% respectively. as long as the Democrats don't run someone under active FBI investigation they should be aight in 2020.
With how Pence is pmuch iconic of what the GOP is made out to be, odds are pfgood that Trump gets Nixon-ed (or Kennedy-ed). With the election job over, he's become more a liability than an asset.
I'm not saying it will happen, but out of the past few decades of presidents, the odds are now at their highest.
People keep wanting to base shit today on history, which I do understand to be usually an accurate way to make predictions as history tends to repeat itself. But I don't think we can look at the past all that much. While parties have never held hands and sung "We are the Future" together, I think we are at probably the most decisive they have been. Especially considering the Repubs have been hammering at Obama for the past 8 years and mostly just stopped his shit vs. accomplishing anything.
I mentioned this maybe a month or so ago, but unless Trump starts offering free abortions to women and free cakes to all the gays it won't matter one bit. He is an annoying child to them that every so often they will wave their hand at with exasperation, but other than that they do not give a fuck. I repeat: All the things you think the repubs care about, they don't. If the public is so focused on him, they can have free reign to do w/e the fuck they want with few noticing. Look at what they are doing to the ACA. They don't need to impeach/jail Trump to do that shit. It's not happening.
I would say the odds are at their lowest as the repubs today would never undermine their own part by doing it.
If the information above can be substantiated, it seems to me that Trump may become more of a liability than an asset, especially with Pence waiting in the wings as stated above.
Combine Trump's increasing unpopularity and potential worsening chances at a successful 2020 reelection, the Republicans may see Pence taking his place for several years while running a 'reconciliation' program as the ticket to a successful 2020 bid.
So you're saying they'll impeach trump after 2018 to get Mike pence 2 elections in?
What information are people and news groups using to verify this cabinet's popularity? If you have one takeaway from this cycle is that polling is and can be skewed in any direction the publishing party would like it to be.
I say that to say this, unfortunately I'm seeing almost an equivalent amount of press (positive and negative) for Trump and crew pre-election as to post so I don't get the unpopular comments.

I'm not? Trump's cabinet picks are something that I assume most people don't realize who is what or how it would affect them. I still got republican friends who say Hillary would've been more corrupt and I can't help but want to slap the shit out of them because Trump has made 5 high profile appointments from Goldman Sach's.
