So with Trumps upcoming fraud case going to court and the state wanting to pursue criminal charges. How likely is he going to be found guilty and how likely can this remove him as president elect? I'm grasping at straws here people.

Even if he is removed, wouldn't Pence (who is arguably worse in a lot of ways) just replace him?

Pence is a mixed bag. On the one hand, he's a terrifically reprehensible human being. On the other, he's predictable.

Anyone watch/read the new 60 minutes interview with Trump? He's hinting at not trying to go after Hillary and breaking with Pence a bit on gay marriage.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016...e-fencing.html

"She did some bad things, I mean she did some bad things," Trump said, to which Stahl responded, "I know, but a special prosecutor?"

"I don't want to hurt them, I don't want to hurt them," Trump said. "They’re, they’re good people. I don't want to hurt them."

Regarding another of his campaign promises, Trump vowed to nominate a Supreme Court justice that would be pro-life and pro-Second Amendment. However, the president-elect showed no interest in re-litigating last year's Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage, an issue of departure between him and Vice President-elect Mike Pence.

"It's irrelevant because it was already settled. It's law. It was settled in the Supreme Court. I mean it’s done," Trump said, later adding, "I'm fine with that."
Full transcript is over at CBS.

If trump is not inaugurated doesn't that mean everyone he picked is also dropped?

NEW YORK CITY (INTELLIHUB) — The city’s Mayor Bill de Blasio told the press on Thursday Thursday that he may have to destroy records kept by the city which contain limited personal information on nearly 500,000 illegal immigrants residing within the city.

The 2015 IDNYC program, aimed at documenting illegal residents, provides illegal aliens with a means to maneuver within the city and function as a typical American citizen as part of a vast scheme concocted by billionaire tycoon and Black Lives Matter promoter George Soros, which ultimately makes NYC a ‘sanctuary city.’

“We’re not going to tear families apart. So we will do everything we know how to do to resist that,” de Blasio said, promoting illegal immigration.

Intellihub is Infowars tier -- the George Soros line says it all.

Honestly who knows, but I think it's unlikely. Trump will move very aggressively to either postpone all of these for years or he'll just settle and move on.

It would be interesting to see if Russia's continued push to support these nationalist uprisings in other countries will ultimately drive a wedge between them and China as it starts disrupting trade they rely on to make it seem like communism works.

I can't remember the last time China actually talked about how awesome communism is. They still want to save face and talk about preserving "socialist" values but almost every negative thing people say about the country nowadays is a result of unrestrained capitalism.

I really don't get this "trade war with China" shit. Aside from the fact that it would just make life horrible for both Americans and Chinese people, isn't China trying really hard to transition into a service economy now? I thought that was the whole damn point of the TPP, to pressure China into making a service economy that actually has some standards rather than just copying everything and pumping tons of chemicals into the air? Feels like people still think Chinese sweatshops is the entirety of their economy and that they somehow want to stagnate in that state forever.

Trump/Republicans should really tread lightly with that China shit. You try to take peoples iPhones away and you're going to have huge consequences, heads will roll.

hm, china is only communist by name, really

the only big differences between the US and china is that we have a 2 party system while they have a 1 party system and their government owns large chunks of every corporation in china. And those two things are pretty sweet when you consider all of their problems are because they basically issued a lot of debt to corporations during a time of unprecedented growth (the slowdown of which is guaranteed to cause pain by nature of that's what happens when spending tightens). So we've got an entity that's totally responsible for lending itself money and paying itself off. Oh, and as big as the debt is, the chinese are one of those people who save well.. and their household savings are twice the amount of debt that china has. Worth noting, they did recently (last year) get rid of their rule of not allowing bank loans to exceed 75% of deposits (we have a much lower ratio, needless to say) and there is no info (available to me, afaik) on the financial statements of banks for 2016 to see just how ridiculous that might get

Sure, there are a lot of things that can go terribly for them (and thus the whole world) if they fuck shit up (we can all probably assume what would happen over a time period of some dummy with the ability to loan themselves money indiscremenantly) but by a lot of measures they're the last country in the kongo-line of economic problems of the world.

I have no idea what trump is doing with the 'currency manipulator' and trade sanction stuff though. Time will tell more

Yeah, you lost me right here.

    Things that are also different:

China has a baby middle class that has barely learned about mobility and spending power. A good gauge is how Chinese tourists act as compared to their counterparts from other countries, especially within their own region.

Central Planning: National Development and Reform Commission - Controls policy for the entire Chinese government and economy. Their control mechanisms drill all the way down to the internals of companies. Not just policy dictation.

The controls on their population, especially on the internet, religion, family size (Only recently resolved).

China is also approaching the end of the industrialization bump and we have yet to see how they're going to cope without 7% GDP growth/year. AKA when they have to switch from stealing processes/technology from other countries to doing their own research to improve/create products, how will their economy hold up? Will it stagnate?
