Fuck man, so they want to keep Obamacare, do the changes Democrats have been wanting for years, and get to rebrand it as "Republican Success". Yes, who gets credit for this matters, cause it's their party that's going to be in power for years to come if successful healthcare finally gets off the tarmac.

Without significant price controls on cost of services/drugs/devices, even a perfectly executed TrumpCare won't feel awesome to the American people, and the plans they are kicking around are pretty much universally worse.

The whole press briefing thing is laughable, the term "alternative facts" is basically gonna become a meme for "deniability for retards". Trump is arguably trying to repeal the "individual mandate" already via executive order - to stop the IRS from collecting tax penalties from people who don't buy insurance. If that is ultimately the determination of what he's done, and healthy people start dropping out of the market, it's going to significantly affect premiums for next year for companies that continue to stay in the individual marketplace, and will likely cause many more of them to pull out entirely because of the uncertainty. These are decisions they need to make a few months from now for 2018, and if the individual mandate is gone you could see the exchange marketplace decimated in many areas as early as 12 months from now.
