The FBI gave a pretty big fuck about the KKK (and related organizations) a few years ago when they warned in a report that the KKK was making an organized attempt to gain leadership positions in law enforcement organizations.

Unfortunately, there's no particular requirement in most districts for a long term sub to be a trained or certified teacher. They just need a college degree and the ability to pass a basic CRC. Sure, some are retired teachers or principals, but just as often I've run into some that are just random retired or otherwise-not-fulltime-employed folks who get bored at home and need to feel important.
