Rex Tillerson, the businessman nominated by Donald Trump to be the next US secretary of state, is the long-time director of a US-Russian oil firm based in the tax haven of the Bahamas, leaked documents show.

Not sure. Obama had a guy working on transition before he officially claimed the DNC primary which helped make it the smoothest transition. Unless you're meaning Obama is the sole or majority reason why Trump's team is even bothering with a transition plan.

Since 9/11, it's been the standard to smooth out transition with catch teams. A former Bill Clinton staff member had to advise Bush Chief of Staff Andrew Card about whether he knew about the secret White House bunker during the attacks. That's when both current and former administration staffs knew that gaps of knowledge regarding safety and national security are unacceptable. The Bush administration decided to make these transition teams standard when you consider previous transitions were nearly blind hand-offs to the incoming staff.

Both Hillary and Trump probably had transition teams being prepped by Obama staff right around when each clinched their respective party nominations, well before the RNC/DNC.

Mr. Ozkural wanted to meet with Ms. Trump — who is considering playing an informal role in her father’s administration — to gain insight into topics like President-elect Donald J. Trump’s possible future dealings with Turkey and other nations where Mr. Ozkural invests, he said.

“The nature of my business, we talk to a lot of different governments, a lot of politicians and lawmakers across the world,” Mr. Ozkural said in an interview on Thursday, adding that he recently had a conversation with the president of Argentina. “You end up getting a better sense of what the modus operandi will be.”

Mr. Ozkural is one of several high-profile bidders in a feverish competition to win time with one of Mr. Trump’s children. Other bidders include the owner of a Tex-Mex restaurant chain from Houston who wants to press Mr. Trump, through his daughter, about immigration policy, and a real estate executive and fringe presidential candidate from Florida who wants to send a message to Mr. Trump about election fraud.

The Democratic Coalition uncovered two Trump companies registered in Cyprus, the tax haven and money laundering center serving Vladimir Putin and Russian oligarchs.

Notably, Cyprus is the only EU country which has given the Russia military and Navy the right to freely use their bases for operations.

Senior Advisor Scott Dworkin released the information on Trump’s Cyprus shell companies for the Democratic Coalition via Twitter as part of his #TrumpLeaks investigations:

Not at all. It moreso shows you're not the only one that can post potentially damaging articles about a candidate (edit: should say politician not candidate).

Facts don't change due to which parties hold office. Trump's potential conflits of interest are just as concerning as notions of Obama being the bastard son of a Russian spy are absurd.

Trump literally said on Twitter that he's going to be using his position to catalyze his worldwide interests, and his followers backed him up on it. There's nothing we can say to make Trump out to be corrupt when he's clearly just being a smart businessman in the eyes of the people that need convincing.
