The claim was Obama has had it 10x worse, while I have only a general elections worth of data on the coverage of Trump, if you want me to believe it was 10x worse than this, not happening:

PS. Read the first line again and try to understand why the stats you posted are both not comparable (because you didn't post ones for Obama) and irrelevant (because you can't normalize to their quality as a candidate).

Ah if only elections worked that way. He won the popular vote in majority of the states and counties. You are the one going to have a hard time using the "but my popular vote" for the next 4 years considering the shape of house/senate.

So Trump was 10x worse candidate but Obama got 10x worse coverage, you guys don't make any sense and are making the argument even more unbelievable.

He won on a technicality, so using it like he won the majority is disingenuous. The majority of people didn't vote for Trump, just like the majority of news outlets are critical of Trump, just like the majority of coverage on Trump is negative.

Day was doing the typical conservative "us 'gainst da media" bullshit and I pointed out that Fox News is itself almost a 50% share of Cable News. "95% of non-Fox cable news and people who aren't Rush Limbaugh/conservative talk show hosts" is like 50% of the media. How can you claim there is systemic bias while saying half of the media is on your side? It just doesn't make any fucking sense.

Really thought most had moved on from popular vote, especially here since I assumed most of you knew how elections worked before Nov 2016.

Dude won 2,623 counties out of 3,112 counties, more than any republican since 1984, 30 out of 50 states and you are using the one unit of measurement that is meaningless. When you win one large state by 4.5 million votes the pop vote margin means nothing when talking about "the will of the people" you are in denial friends.

I'm not going to sit here and argue popular vs electoral for the 50 millionth time. Neither campaigned for Popular vote so it's a meaningless argument put forth to de-legitimize his win.

It's a great system that forces people to compromise. Unfortunately it also means 3 million people matter just as much as 3 thousand because they live in the wrong state.

Running for office has become a marketing gimmick, and it's silly.
