I can't say that's surprising. There has been no consistent, unifying messaging from Dem leadership. Right now, individual candidates in congressional and local races I'm sure have quite a bit of enthusiasm behind them, but I don't think there's very much trust among the party base that the DNC as an organization is going to act in their best interest.

I've been some glimmers but the reality is the position that would actually net them positive PR would go against the mega donor desires. They botched the roll out of their better pizza fucking slogan that I've associate it more with pizza than an actual deal.

Franken is 66 right now. I would prefer him as president to a lot of people, probably including the entire 2016 field, but he at least needs a VP closer to 50.

Inb5 Dems don't run on single payer because the implementation is completely impossible within four years and they go with a public option instead, giving Trump two terms.

If there is one thing 2016 taught me, realistic policy goals don't resonate.
