I assume it would have been made fun and ridiculed like it is now and as it should be.
This is some retarded shit right here.

Chapo kinda talked about this this week. Basically their take was that diehard hillbots were so certain they represented the majority of Americans that when Hillary lost they gaslit themselves into believing everyone who makes fun of or disagrees with them on twitter is a Russian agent. They need a safespace free from #fakenews.
I don't know if I'd take it quite that far, but I agree that I don't think there's a world where this website exists without the shock of Hillary's loss.
Verrit's big problem, beyond Daou, is that it solves literally none of the problems it ostensibly addresses.
The only thing that Verrit's authenticity codes do (through an inordinate amount of labor by the reader [by internet standards]) is differentiate a fake Verrit from a real one - something that wasn't a problem in the slightest before Verrit, ya know, existed.
The codes don't tell you if, say, an article by an unknown media site that may or may not be created by Macedonian teens is real - for example. It's just so far from the mark that it's hard to trace it back to what the mark could possibly be.

Speaking of Hillary's book.

I've been seeing this shit on my twitter feed. I wanted to believe this was fake news.
tbf that was the primary though
Some people started voting her not knowing who she was
And they'll continue voting her forever just because
Peter Doau got into a spat with a podcast I follow.
Spoiler: show
Gonna need to see a verrit authentication code for these posts.
Universal health care: It's basically abs and ponies.
how many of her watered-down policies regarding wage hikes, free-ish education or anything remotely popular would've existed without pressure from the left? her complaints ring a bit hollow when she's making concessions in response to sanders' campaigning on stronger versions of those same policies.
'he campaigned on the same things i did, except he actually campaigned on them, made it appealing to voters, and did it first. he cheated!'
good god fuck off back into the woods and never come back out
You can time machine her campaign website, most of her (most progressive non-Bernie campaign in history) stuff was up there before it became clear that Bernie would be a somewhat serious challenger.
Her problem was more in communicating her policies, or especially in weaving a narrative around them or giving people an existing enemy to blame problems on.
