I'm looking forward to the Democratic debates, and even more so the Republican ones if someone tries to primary Trump.

2020 is probably going to be my favorite election to vote in at this point because, to the best of my knowledge, MA is going to have a ranked voting system in place at the time.

Obama actually won his longshot campaign in Illinois, and only did that because the dude he was running against dropped out when it surfaced that he was making his superhot celebrity wife bang other dudes in front of him in sex clubs (Jeri Ryan of Star Trek fame) and killed his "family values" appeal. Beto would have to top Ted Cruz first and he's only got about 2 months to close the gap.

he very well may be able to but as always never overreact to a single poll, especially the ones telling you what you want to hear, Cruz is still +5.5 in the RCP aggregate. for a statewide in Texas that's still awfully good news, Dems rarely poll in single digit deficits.

Legitimately what should scare ted cruz is the high number of undecideds and the fact that legitimately no one likes them. Its basically 20% of the population that Beto has to convince he's essentially not a pedophile democrat or whatever crazy nickname the republicans have come up with.

I like reasonable and responsible, which is the impression that Obama gave me. I haven't seen enough of Beto to anoint him and I don't know his background.

I still feel uncomfortable with the "LETS GET EVERYTHING FOR EVERYONE AND FEASIBLE PLANS ARE FOR NEOLIBS" Bernie wing of the Democratic party.

I don't mind spending as long as we get something, but building something (Democrats) is so much harder than tearing it down and backfilling with judges (Republicans), so we can't act like the same standard of politician is going to be able to execute equally well for both strategies. Democrats actually need a plan because they want to do more than burn everything to the ground.
