Other than the exclusion of marvel to a charity drive, it's actually a solid line-up considering my low expectations going into it. Unfortunately Melee was a given, and I wholeheartedly expected another 1-3 nintendo party games for McRib to gorge himself out to.

As long as a real game takes the charity drive (so MKXL, Mahvel, Skullgirls, KI, or SF2) Sunday would be a pretty dope lineup. Sm4sh is way more interesting to me then Melee there since at least it's not watching the same fucking people every goddamn time.

I will say, without Melee on Sunday,that event center is going to look super dead because even less people are going to give a shit about SFV without it being new.

I bet that Strret Fighter entries are lower than the previous year, for the first time.

Edit: is Saturday finals at that event center this year? Haven't given a shit to follow anything this year and seems like a good decision after seeing that awful game lineup.

idk, you could easily make a case for it based on BB's top 8 from 2014, definitely one of the best series of matches in recent evo history. it's unexpected to be sure, but i don't think it's that far out there.

pokken tournament, a game which was run at maybe half a dozen tournaments outside of evo last year, is currently leading the donation drive. my assumption is this is the smash kids' spite donation of choice to beat back an actual FGC title.

Majority of SG community told players to not bother with this drive and to put the same money to the other majors that haven't screwed them over. I think SonicFox was the only one who asked people to and then pretty much immediately said eh fuck it just go to Combo Breaker, lol.
