So just like other games I'm having a character crisis in T7.. I think Eliza is broken but not my type. I like Lars a lot but in lore I've always liked Jin/devil Jin. Anyone know anyone similar to Veva? It seems like I'm up the right alley with Jin/Lars but I want good movement and midrange pokes to control space.

I have a feeling no one but possibly me and kran will pick up the dbz game. This forum/thread seems pretty anti arcsys, as everyone jumped on the T7 train.

Assuming you can pull off EWGF try the Mishimas. Kazuya in particular has absolutely insane options if you can do PEWQF (the only 13 frame launcher in the game), but the execution requirement is incredibly demanding.

Paul also has pretty decent movement/mixups options via Sway and his crouch dash, but he has an extremely high risk/reward playstyle that won't work for some people.

i'm torn, in that i really do love arcsys stuff -- i started with GGX2 on PS2 when it was released here in like 2003. i'd consider giving it a try strictly based on the strength of everything else they've done. on the other hand, 1. i hate DBZ, and 2. haven't really felt a strong urge to get invested in a fighting game after the SF5 clusterfuck. i bought both sign and revelator and though i do think they're amazing games, i just haven't been able to get in the frame of mind to play & practice on a regular basis.

Rev2 just has bad timing. A paid DLC update that's "only" adding 2 characters getting stuck between releases like Injustice 2 (while a lot of fgc players dislike it, it's a big name for casuals) and the first home release of a main series Tekken in 8 years.

I mean speaking personally, as much as I love GG, I've always been a 3D fighter guy first and foremost, and since Virtua Fighter is dead and buried all my hype is reserved for Tekken.

Based off the DBZ DS game that arcsys made, should be interesting. If anything, the game will have a bunch of single player content on release which will please most of the casual audience. I have to wonder though if DBZ is even that big of a deal for the younger FGC players.

Yeah I'll probably be learning the game on hitbox so I don't think the ewgf will be too much of an issue. Yeah Kaz seems like someone I'd like but my boy is playing him... So I think I'll do Jin.

Devil Jin is generally considered better then the vanilla flavor, tho you don't get the sweet hoodie playing Devil

Yeah I always love Devil Jin aesthetically. Just the idea of having an eye beam is dope and his super animation is way better. There's something about hoodie Jin looking so fluid in movement I like.

Also I don't know much about tekken history... Where does sfxt Jin's fireball come from? Oh yeah and I like that he has a counter/Parry compared to DJ that's why I lean towards vanilla

it's clear they're not interested in substantial changes that fix any of the fundamental issues with the game, so i honestly don't care at this point. SF5 with a few more characters/modes/critical arts is still the same shitty game with more (mostly useless) options tacked on.

Exactly! They can add any number of characters, costumes, story modes, etc., but if they don't fix the actual gameplay, then it will remain garbage tier.
