I do use double ply at home. Home it doesn't break. Worst case at home is a long wipe with some residual up high that gets on my hand when I go back for another wipe.

Honestly if youre using your washers way more often and have to use "power wash" mode to use them effectively then are you even really making an environmental impact at all? Serious question.

Its about water consumption. The efficient ones use way less even if they hold slightly less of a load or need to use a power rinse mode or something.
