Ok, here's what NASA says: https://climate.nasa.gov/causes/
From that page: https://www.ipcc.ch/site/assets/uplo...licymakers.pdf (1300 independent scientists worldwide, which seems to be a bit bigger than 500 "scientists and professionals," which, if you look at the full list, includes a number of gas and oil lobbyists and businessmen)

Here's from the Army Corps of Engineers: https://www.usace.army.mil/corpsclimate/

Here's a report from the Pentagon (that was not initially disclosed to the public, made this past January) on how climate change is a threat we're not prepared to face: https://partner-mco-archive.s3.amazo...1547826612.pdf

The World Economic Forum declaring that cutting emissions is critical to combating climate change: https://www.weforum.org/projects/cli...ange-solutions

Climate change and combating it being the #1 topic at Davos: https://news.globallandscapesforum.o...om-davos-2019/

Studies into the very question of whether or not there's even consensus at all have repeatedly and reliably returned results that practically everyone seriously studying the issue agrees there is man-made climate change (91% at the lowest end, 100% at the highest): https://skepticalscience.com/global-...s-advanced.htm

I don't even get the point of what you're arguing to be honest.

    The information is abundant

It is not difficult to find

It is frequently written in ways easy for laypeople like ourselves to understand

It would take an enormous amount of contradictory discoveries across multiple scientific disciplines to counter the current understanding of climate change

Thanks to satellites we can actually observe and record the effects such as never before so as to witness it firsthand

And also the changing weather patterns are such that stronger hurricanes, extended droughts, more powerful flooding, loss of critical biodiversity, and rising ocean levels are now observable right here on the ground.

The continent has lost nearly 3 billion birds representing hundreds of species over the past five decades, in an enormous loss that signals an “overlooked biodiversity crisis,” according to a study from top ornithologists and government agencies.

Makes you wonder the people who even begin to think to equate it to that.

Look all he's saying is that if underage girls are allowed to have any agency or recognition, he should be allowed to have sex with them.

I'm not science man but I do miss Snow... Two years ago or so where I live it was hot enough on Christmas day for Shorts and BBQ'ing. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and I was just sitting there thinking "This isn't fucking normal, why are you people acting like this is awesome?".

Anyway ya'll ever heard of Severn Suzuki? Fun stuff.

Good article about the hardest thing to decarbonize: high temperature industrial processes like steel and cement production.

Theres a big push to get heavy timber back into the construction market due to the low carbon footprint (actually sequesters carbon dioxide). Concrete and Aluminum are the two worst environmentally detrimental products in the construction industry at this time.

    Bring back mass masonry buildings!!

Concrete is cheaper, faster to install, and generally lasts longer. That's going to be a tough battle to fight.

There are also some applications where timber won't work, but I'm sure there isn't anyone arguing to remove concrete completely from the industry. Well, there probably are some people arguing that somewhere.
