I hear you. Ultimate is a massive bitch this time around. If you can get through the first wave without using SG it may help; protectga + shellga + magic breakdown on the single Magitek Armor might be enough. Take out the two soldiers ASAP; they are super-weak.


Otherwise, what worked for me was saving up soul breaks for the last wave and spamming AoEs. The Magitek armors only have 50kish health each. Double Beatrix BSB took them down quite quickly.


Also, magic blink if you have it. It works wonders in this fight.

Cyan's magic blink did jack and squat for me. I don't know how many times before I could even get buffs up that Tyro would eat a 7200 Magitek Beam.

Nah, magic blink is more useful for the AoE laser attack. Saved my life a few times. It doesn't help at all on the first turn lol.

Well finally beat it. No master since Tyro and Ramza both ate it at the end. Really beginning to think I may need to level break them since I always have them in the party anyways....

Tried Saturday night and got womped, didn't get another chance to try U until last night. Took a couple of tries/setups to get U down. But won finally with an all 6 team. 1/3 I believe. I orginally retried with this set but Shellga on Relm, on the third try I swapped Shellga for Protectga and won.

Then went to try U+ and 1/1'd it. Pecil and Celes died near the end and Terra practically solo'd the last 20% lol. I don't know if care to go back for CM. This batch of bonus battles is a headache lol.

1/1 on both U+ and U++. Had some issues with U+, took more damage than I thought, but still managed to master. Kefka was pretty easy, nothing special about it except the annoying counters. Had 4/5 members confused at the end lol.

srsly what were the devs smoking? just did U+ expecting a challenge and it was definitely a couple tiers below U. silly, silly DeNA.


also I brought Celes and he didn't use Flare once >_> but at least she was able to help knock down the barrier.

For U+, should I just hone the hell out of low-tier Thunder Strike, and give it to a couple of DDs? I'd rather stick with a melee party, and figure it's probably more orb efficient than making a whole ton of Thundaga Strikes that won't be used.

Humm, I think most people just stick with the 3* elemental strikes. Haven't upgraded any 4* elemental strike yet at least and not planning to 0_o. Though tbh, U+ is one of those cases where mage BSB strat is much simpler to execute.

You can probably get away with Thundara Strike + ABD + Shout, I would say.

1/2 U++, confuse RNG is the biggest obstacle. I still think he was easier than U.

Thundara strike is more than enough. I did hone some -aga strikes long ago but you'd better wait for the upcoming 5* 2-hit strikes. We're getting our first one in a couple events.

Yeah two hit strikes are legit. The only aga strike I've honed is blizzaga for ifrit. Even then I could probably have gotten away with blizzara.
