he is. if the cards were actually good he would have so much more MVP chatter. As of now a guy that didnt play in the first 4 games is out in front which is kind of absurd. If Lions win out with the brutal stretch in front of them I think Stafford absolutely deserves it.

It's actually amazing what Fat Stafford has done this year. I heard a stat that the dude accounts for 80% of the Lions entire offensive total yards this year so far.

Kind of a silly stat. His 3475 passing+rushing-sack yards are indeed 79.8% of his team's total yards, but that's not super exceptional. Rodgers' 3649 total yards are 78.7% of his team's total.

It's just what happens when you have a crap running game and a good QB who can run a little. Andrew Luck is right around there too.

My mom's side of the family is full of Lions fans. Since I moved to the east coast it's been weird spending thanksgivings with people who actually care about their games.

Can't tell if they're fully committed to rebuilding with this move or not. They wanted him to replace Fitzgerald and he's probably done after this year. Floyd was set to get paid but they cut him instead. I doubt it was 100% due to the arrest considering the hot water some of their other high profile players have gotten into the past few years. Probably a convenience for them if anything.

Floyd was not very good this year. Injury problems, and hasn't been all that effective when he was actually playing. Couple that with his getting another DUI and cutting him now instead of waiting til he leaves at the end of the season is an easy choice.

Yes he had a bad year but players usually get one of those within their first three and they come out of it trending up and continue to do so. The guy has tons of potential. I think it's a sign of the organization showing fold and wanting to take the team in a new direction starting next year. Which kind of sucks because they just came back into the fold I think. People around here have been really excited about the team the past couple years.

All anyone ever heard about with Floyd was his potential. Dude never lived up to it in all the years he was with the cards.
Guys been dropping balls like mad forever. He wasn't even good when Palmer was balling out last year.
