solo mastered apoc+ belias, -2 damage/-1 actions. setup was maria, faris, OK, y'sh, rafa, RW SG. everyone with BSBs, other notables were magic dance on rafa, affliction break/wrath & sea lord's broadside on faris. had to restart a few times until i got a full setup online before ultimate gigaflares started, on my winning run i had one of the adds down before the first round which IMO was probably the deciding factor, that shit hurts. the extra heals from rafa were extremely handy.

hashmal apoc+ solo mastered as well. no wall, but i don't think that actually matters? seems like most of his worst stuff is piercing so debuff stacking goes a long ways here. setup was vaan, alphinaud, yshtola, OK, lion, everyone with earth resist in the accessory slot. as with the last, BSBs all around. RW was eiko USB, used the first after the 1hp move and the second fairly shortly after. finished with vaan dead at the end. triple defense breaks helped the physical section put out respectable damage despite protect being up most of the fight, alphinaud was doing ~16-20k/turn off C1, OK swiftspells were putting up 8-10k on turns where he wasn't using full break or MeBD.

Initially yes, but the 60/20 stamina one has vit motes as a possible win reward.

Wasn't able to clear Hashmal solo because his DMG was just rediculous even with Wall + ATK/MAG Break + ATK Break + MAG Break + Full Break.

Decided to try it MP and went 1/1 with a group where we had Relm BSB, Cloud BSB2 (Was our main source of DMG), 2x OK with DEF/RES Break and BSB, Tyro with Full Break and Wall, Vaan with BSB, and I bringing Fang with ATK/MAG Break + OSB and Y'shtola with SSB/SS2/BSB. Got real sketchy when he spammed Ultimate Roxxor whenever he could, but managed to pull through.

Now to spend some sweet sweet VIT motes.

I went with a low damage pickup (an excellent alph, a bad alph, and a ramza) and while it took forever we eventually killed it after all the DPS died except excellent!alph. The counters hit really hard so having an uncounterable attack which hit a weakness was pretty good.

Let's just say that all the roxxoring triggered me and leave it at that.

Ugh, had a good party for 220 but at the last 10% he suddenly just wouldn't stop attacking. None of our 8 characters got 1 shot in before he attacked 6 times. Grrrr

Ugh... Yunalesca 220. I can't handle you.

One PT I had managed to get her down to about 10% HP remaining, and she went unglued with Instant KOs on our healers, wiped at 3 or 4% - so sad.

I had more trouble getting a connection to stick than I did in the actual fight. And good lord the amount of people being assholish over Ultra Cure.

1/3 on the 220 fight.
3/200 in actually getting into a fight.

Brought Vaan for the armor breakdowns (Lifesiphon, Power BD), assuming I was going to be seeing a lot of Tidus physical either way. Brought Yshtola (Wrath, Ultra Cure) for Wall and tried to time Asylum for that 80% marker. Only had 1 die, but a fellow Yuna had her BSB ready and the group I was with Tidus CSB'ed it dead pretty quick.

Same, had a great group yesterday, but ended up losing at 20% because my Y'shtola got confused and the party leader used her vanille to cure it and some DDs died before we could heal them.

I'm not sure, but I believe the mechanics behind Megadeath is that it does damage equal to your max HP vs. the % chance of bringing your current HP to 0. Which is why stoneskin "stops" megadeath, but the HP stock effect will not.

Beat 220 last night with friends. Between Kim's magic blink SSB, Aerith's Pulse of Life, and a Ysh's Asylum, we zombied through this one. Quite the challenge.

This is exactly how it works, thanks! It's entirely possible to burn through phase 2 fast enough and not lose anyone.

No, it is not. Megadeath and ultimate megadeath have the auto-hit flag, causing them to bypass status resistance checks and does 100% of your current HP as damage. Physical or magic blink will cause it to miss, stoneskin from things like Y'shtola's BSB allows people to survive the hit with however much hp was left on the shield, and last stand works for survival unlike abilities that cause the instant death status.
