I have a question for you guys, since I just recently broke Ingus to 99 because I got his BSSB. Banner pulls are different for everybody, there are characters that are pretty commonly broken and others that just kind of get in there by sheer luck of draws. I'm just curious, in your opinion, what is the most uncommon character you guys have broke the 99 cap for on your account?

Seifer because of BSB. Probably Gordon due to Goddess Bell may happen soon.

I would say Edge but I pulled his BSB on the Burst Lucky. His SSB Last Stand I pulled afterwards

Edge, because I broke him when I had nothing for him for his RMIII. Happily, I know have his SSB Last Stand. I guess Kuja as well. I broke him because I had most of his SB's, but mostly just because his Doom RM was unique and may provide useful in a pinch somewhere someday.

In fact, most of my MC3 before anniversary pulls have been for RM use instead of character relics. Now that ive gotten most of those out of the way (Zell is my last one), this last batch of 5 or 6 have been due to new bursts (Kain, Aerith, Rikku, etc).

i triple-broke edge during the last FF4 event because i pulled his jacket, but it was in anticipation of infinity so not that remarkable now.

i just uncapped shantotto since i pulled her burst on the current banner. outside of that probably selphie since she was my mage team co-healer prior to getting yuna's BSB2, and the only SB i had for her was strange vision.

I was thinking about just doubling down on Banner #4; Agrias is one of my people that I have decent SBs for right now, so figured she'd be good in lieu of getting anything for Cecil. Pulling stuff for Orlandeau is just bonus (can't remember if Gilgamesh is on banner #4, but have 2 SB's for him now).

Stick with that plan, or pull on this banner (which seems to have some ok SBs) and #4?

I'd say do whatever banner you feel like spending on, also Greg is on banner 3, the OSBs on Banner 4 are Agrias, Orlandeau, and Ashe. Banner 3 has alright OSBs, godly BSBs (assuming you don't have Cid Raines or Refia or Relm though) and some pretty decent SSBs (Sirius is good for ATK+ on CMs and Krile's Sheepsong is pretty awesome for mage meta, Sabin's is a medica for CMs for 6 and Noel's SSB is..... alright).

Noel with SSB reminds me of TG Cid with OSB, obviously not as powerful, but along the same lines since Noel's is instant cast and makes his abilities instant cast, and TG Cid reduces cast time while Thunder God is up. He's a really nice replacement for TG Cid for CM's. I would break him easily if he could get to 99, lol.

As mentioned, Noel's SSB is really only good to follow it up with Full Charge (or Omega Drive? Not sure if he has Combat 6). One of those relics that is nice to fill in holes for CM's but not for general use.

Speaking of CM's and pulls, it's hard to pull for a particular synergy on festival banners so the usual advice of "what realm are you weakest in" doesn't apply.

Id say, barring having a majority of the top end of the banner (1/2 or 2/3 top prizes of the OSB and BSB's) look at the bottom end. If you're okay grabbing 1-2 of those and nothing else, with a chance at the top stuff then I say pull. If not, or you pull and get a lot of the bottom stuff, then pass and wait for the next one.

Of course, waifu and relic chasing throws rationality out the window. But never chase one single relic.

My "weirdest" unlock for 99 is probably Rydia, in part because I have her BSB now. Most others that I bothered with usually had a purpose with their RM and/or I also happened to have their BSB. In that regard, I'm waiting for Basch and Fuujin's RM3 unlocks. Next 50 pull might influence things, too.

And yeah, I was definitely looking at the bottom end, which made me pause on some, and made me totally ok with banner #4.

I find it funny that I broke Yshtola along with Ramza on the first MC3 wave. She was only going to be there for wall. I never used her once I got Vanille BSB opting to use Tyro in the spot. But now pulled her BSB so it all worked out in the end.
