Final Fantasy Record Keeper 2017: Eiko's Record Sphere is a Dead Meme

Ok, so, I'm trying to decide if I should pull on Banner 1 of this 13 event or not. As cool as it is, after some recommendations I have decided Banner 2 isn't worth it. Vanille's LM would be awesome, but it's the ONLY thing that I care about on there.

Here is basically what I am interested in, in Banner 1. If I pulled either Lightning's BSB or USB the way my melee PT works now she would be a straight up replacement for Agrias, and Agrias would become a substitute for Lightning in case I can't use thunder on the boss or actually need a tank.

Cid R the only thing I would be interested in is his BSB. With that, he would actually be an upgrade to my mage PT since he stacks with Ley Lines.

Anything past that would just be more help for CM's.

My synergy in 13 is pretty solid for melee charaters, mage stuff is kind of low though. I have Vanille's USB staff and a Witch's Hat, enough to gear out my healer, but not really anything for other mages.

Do you think this gives me enough reason to pull on Banner 1?

Honestly? Yes. The banner is stacked with good mage relics (Jihl's stuff is great too and she can Wrath as well!) + Lightning's stuff. Also two Imperils and Serah's MAG/MND+Hastega SSB. If you want mage stuff for XIII this is the banner for you.
Only downside imo are the materias... Lightning's could be good if you pull her BSB#2 and would work nicely with her USB but I can't really justify Cid's over what he gets from his Record Sphere. Then again I wouldn't spend motes on Cid at all unless I pulled his BSB.

I need help figuring out who to use 5 star motes on first. At first glance, I figure the obvious choice for me is Beatrix. I already have her fully moted on 3 and 4 stars and she's part of my A team. But Cid Raines is part of my Mage A team and his materia seems to be on par if not better. I don't have Agrias or Yshtola maxed out on 4 star but I probably can if I want since they are both also on my A team.

What do you guys think?

You could do Ramza and Yshtola at the same time, as they don't share motes. All of your knights will conflict with Yshtola or Ramza though.

Y'shtola and Lightning for me (Both are Waifu and Y'shtola has all her SB (minus Esuna Medica) and Lightning has her BSB2 so works for me!)

Just mote whoever you use the most. Beatrix however will force you to wait a bit more before you can mote Y'shtola so pick one that you'd prefer to get earlier.
Also regarding pulls, because I forgot to mention this, we may be getting three LDs next week (Imperil SSB+, Curaga SSB+, BSB+) but I think that's all up in the air given our recent deluge of Nightmare banners. Maybe they'll be delayed alongside our Rematch bosses, who knows.

Are the healer BSB's still just as good 6 months from now? I think to some of the harder fights I've been through and I use the AoE heal on one of the BSB commands quite a lot. And while the USB's have a better initial cast, if I need another AoE heal sooner rather than later I have nothing to use. I suppose it's all situational, maybe it just feels like I need that AoE command a lot because I'm always using Ysh

Ysh's BSB ages really well provided you complete her legend spheres. My JP account gets ~5k on entry, ~7k on command 1, ~2k medica on command 2, and 35% chance to double cast the commands via legend materia.

or am i just way overrating it? I feel like that bsb alone would solve all my healing problem and turn my hybrid team from great to GATLIKE.

it's a very good burst, but for me personally it's not worth chasing since i already have yuna's BSB2 + several stackable mag/x+hastega options to pair with it. if you lack a mage-focused hastega it's really good, and probably not the worst banner to throw gems at since there's some other great stuff on there -- celes' BSB2 is the grand prize i think, although i have no clue what it does.

It combines her old bsb with old ssb and makes it an ice version of Cloud's BSB2 with Grand Cross.

The banner is good, but the mog bssb doesn't have an entry heal and is instant curaga + regen (not curaja)/magic breakdown so it can't really main heal and won't be buffing enough people in a hybrid. Mog himself is good though because he has unusually good bulk.

As Lenna is my only healer BSB, is she worth a full dive to get her Legend Materia? Healing is my weak spot in these Ruin fights. Yuna has been my main with her Miracle Veil but its getting pretty hard to stay ahead on some of these fights. Twintania wasn't too bad with Faris debuffing with Phantom and Wall up but Lenna also had in realm stat boosts too.

JP has a login bonus, LD set for the 20th and a new event with Estinien, Ysayle and Haurchefant. GL is the one lagging behind but we can't get the event now due to power creep.
